Bryan Adams' Concert Was Postponed Due to Public Safety

Bryan Adams was forced to cancel a concert in India at short notice on Tuesday, February 15 over fears for public safety.

Authorities called off the New Delhi gig just hours before the rocker was due to take the stage at the NSIC Exhibition Centre because organizers were denied a mandatory clearance certificate. According to local media outlets, promoters had sold approximately 20,000 tickets, but the venue only has a capacity for 6,000.

A police spokesman tells AFP, "The organizers failed to explain as to how they would manage law and order inside the ground and traffic outside. We cannot risk people's lives. Everything has to be in place before the event begins." Promoters have confirmed the date will be rescheduled.

Adams has included a five-day India visit on his world tour that is being organized by Netsurf Entertainment.
