Justin Bieber Shakes Off Boyish Image for 'Manly' Look on Rolling Stone Cover

Justin Bieber doesn't want to be looked at as a kid anymore. The "Boyfriend" hitmaker shows off his "manly" side when posing as a cover boy on the front page of Rolling Stone's latest issue. He flaunts his muscles in a white wife beater.

At 18 years old, Bieber is dubbed "hot ready legal" in the magazine's new edition that goes on sale July 20. "I feel like I carry myself in a more manly way," he confirms the title in an interview for the cover story. "I don't carry myself as a boy."

Bieber also reveals what he did to the paparazzi who kept yelling at him when he was playing golf at a private country club. The singer hit a golf ball at them with his nine-iron and told an employee at the club that he would "probably never play here again."

When it comes to Bieber's girlfriend Selena Gomez, Scooter Braun defends their relationship. The manager doesn't believe the theory that the romance lessens Bieber's appeal to tween fans, calling it "a bunch of bulls***."

Scooter explains, "Yes, there's gonna be some girls that if they see him with a girlfriend, it kills the dream - but there's also gonna be girls that see him with a girlfriend, hear about the romantic things he does and want him even more."

Bollywood News Yash Raj sells Satellite Rights to Sony for 75 cr?

Anything and everything to do with Salman Khan makes news. But this one has created ripples not just within the film fraternity, but also in the TV industry as also amongst the aam junta. A section of the media has reported that Yash Raj had sold the Satellite rights of EK THA TIGER to Sony for, hold your breath, a whopping Rs 75 crores. Yes, you read it right -- Rs 75 crores. If true, the price could change the dynamics of films starring A-list stars in times to come, with film-makers recovering their entire investment from the sale of Satellite Rights alone.

But the news is far from true! Let's get it straight from Sneha Rajani, the Sr Executive Vice President & Business Head, Sony Entertainment Television, "Let me set the record straight. Sony had clinched the deal for the Satellite Rights of EK THA TIGER almost 15/16 months ago, not last week or in the recent past. In fact, we clinched the deal even before they [Yash Raj] commenced filming EK THA TIGER. Besides, do you think we would've paid this ridiculous price 15/16 months ago? We wouldn't settle for it even today," Sneha clarifies.

Not wanting to comment on the actual price Sony has paid for the Satellite Rights of EK THA TIGER, Sneha adds, "The figure [75 cr] is miles away from the actual price paid by Sony. In fact, I wish to add that Yash Raj is an extremely responsible and professional setup and Yash-ji sees to it that not just his company, but even those who associate with Yash Raj benefit from the collaboration."

With Salman Khan becoming the invincible force at the BO thanks to back-to-back blockbusters, has Yash Raj revised the price of the Satellite Rights of EK THA TIGER? "Not at all! They are too professional. They would never ever indulge in something like this," Sneha replies instantly. Seems like Yash Raj believes in the now-legendary dialogue delivered by Salman in one of his earlier hits: 'Ek baar jo maine commitment kardi, uske baad to main khudki bhi nahin sunta.'

Rajesh Khanna, Bollywood’s first superstar, dies aged 69

Rajesh Khanna, who epitomised superstardom in Hindi cinema in the 1970s with such immortals as “Anand”, “Kati Patang” and “Aradhana”, left for a “nice and heavenly place” Wednesday morning, his son-in-law and actor Akshay Kumar announced. He was 69.
Rajesh, Bollywood’s first superstar and perhaps the only one to have reached those dazzling heights of fame, died at his home Ashirwad after a long battle with suspected liver problems.
His demise brought back memories of the charmer, lover and hero that he was to his family, fans and well-wishers. For them, his magic will remain forever.
“He has gone to a nice and heavenly place, we are happy about that,” Rajesh’s son-in-law Akshay Kumar, married to his elder daughter Twinkle, said after his death around 10 a.m.
When news of his critical health first came out on June 20, legion of his fans expressed concern. A day later, he stepped out in the company of Akshay Kumar and estranged wife Dimple Kapadia to tell his fans that all is well.
But clearly it wasn’t.
He was a shadow of himself, gaunt and ravaged by illness, with glares covering the famous face that would once reduce women to a swoon.
On June 23, Kaka – as he was popularly known in the film world – was in the hospital, and the stay stretched for 15 days. Just a week after he was discharged, he was back to the hospital bed due to “weakness”, but was allowed to go home soon after.
Though family members maintained he was “fine”, Rajesh was said to be critical Wednesday morning and breathed his last at his Bandra home.
His family – estranged wife Dimple Kapadia and daughters Twinkle and Rinke – were by his side during his last moments, those close to the family said.
Film celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Sajid Khan, Farah Khan and Prem Chopra came to his residence to pay their respects after news of his demise spread.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni were amongst the political leaders who condoled the death of the star.
Thousands of his fans and industry members are expected to turn up for the funeral, scheduled at 11.30 a.m. Thursday.
Rajesh’s death has brought the curtains down on an era in Hindi cinema – an era he defined with his prowess in romantic and emotional roles, an art that has inspired and continues to inspire several young actors and his legion of fans.
Summarising the phenomenon that Rajesh Khanna was, Anupam Kher said that “he gave us a crash course in romance. He introduced us to a special twinkle in the eyes that made us feel good about ourselves. Rajesh Khanna taught us how to smile. He added dignity to our concept of romance.”
In his career spanning almost five decades, the actor featured in about 160 films, starting with “Aakhri Khat” in 1966.
Between “Aradhana” in 1969 and “Prem Kahani” in 1975, he enjoyed god-like status. Women would line the road for a glimpse, chant his name, cover his car with lipstick marks and even write him letters in blood.
It was nothing short of a mania. Then, the films faded away and so did the star. The years in between did see some films, some hits like “Avtaar” and some B-grade like the forgettable “Wafa”, but the man had disappeared into the shadows.
His last few public appearances came as a shock to his fans. His last screen appearance was an ad for Havells fans, an eerie intimation of what was to come with Kaka reminiscing in an empty auditorium and music from his films echoing in the background.
“Babumoshai,” he intoned deeply – the affectionate Bengali address he made all his own after “Anand”.
That voice has been silenced.

Daniel Radcliffe to Give 'The F-Word' in New Romantic Comedy Film

Daniel Radcliffe is about to try out a new genre for his upcoming movie. The British actor, who's famously known as the titular wizard in the "Harry Potter" film series, has scored a role in a romantic comedy pic called "The F-Word".

Variety reports that Radcliffe is set to star opposite "Ruby Sparks" actressZoe Kazan in the new film, which will be directed by "Goon" helmer Michael Dowse. Elan Mastai, meanwhile, has written the script that was mentioned on the 2008 Black List.

Radcliffe is cast as Wallace, while Kazan is set to portray his love interest Chantry. The two build chemistry after meeting at a party. The fact that the girl has already had a longtime boyfriend forces them to deny their feelings and try to be just friends.

"The F Word" is adapted from "Toothpaste and Cigars", a play by T.J. Dawe and Michael Rinaldi. Though it hasn't rounded up the cast ensemble, the project is already scheduled to kick off its filming on August 15 in Toronto.

After wrapping the "Harry Potter" film series, Radcliffe scored a number of dark indie pics. He will next be seen starring as famous Beat poet Allen Ginsberg in "Kill Your Darlings". Last seen in "The Woman in Black", the British thesp has also landed a role in "Horns", a film adaptation of Joe Hill's horror book.

Jessica Biel Won't Play Viper in 'The Wolverine' After All

Jessica Biel won't be starring as Viper in "The Wolverine" after all. In less than a week after her casting news buzzed, Collider now reports that the "Total Recall" actress has turned down the opportunity to play the villainess in the upcoming Hugh Jackman-starring Marvel movie.

Multiple insiders told the site that "talks have broken down between Biel and 20th Century Fox." That led the studio to approach other actresses to fill the part of Viper soon since the filming is skedded to kick off this August in Australia.

Viper is a complex character. The villainess is known as Victoria by day and turns into Viper by night. A lover of the Silver Samurai, Viper is strongly associated with the Hand, an order of evil mystical ninja who are heavily involved in organized crime and mercenary activities.

Slated for a July 26, 2013 release in the United States, "The Wolverine" will take its cue from the early 1980s Chris Claremont/Frank Miller miniseries, which is set in Japan. It follows the mutant hero as he deals with ninjas and struggles whether to follow his animal killer instincts or live under a samurai's code of honor and respect.

Serving as the helmer is James Mangold with Mark Bomback and Christopher McQuarrie providing the script. Joining Jackman in the cast ensemble are Will Yun Lee as villainous Silver Samurai, and Brian Tee as corrupt minister of justice Noburo Mori.

Kate Middleton Wears South African Dress on Photoshopped Magazine Cover

When Kate Middleton graces the cover of Marie Claire South Africa in a jungle-themed number by a local designer, people are left wondering how the magazine got the Duchess of Cambridge as its cover girl. In a sneak peek to its new August issue, it's revealed that the image featured on the publication's front page is a result of photoshop.

"We were so inspired by her fairytale wedding and her life as a modern-day princess, which is why we elected Kate Middleton as our cover star for the August issue," the magazine explains in a statement. "The cover is actually a hyper-real illustration of Kate, meant to be a fan art tribute to fashion's new royal icon."

Kate wears a Clive Rundle dress with tattoo motif on its sleeve. Not only does the wife of Prince William appear on the front page, but she's also featured in the spread inside the magazine. "Five local illustrators have gone to work recreating the Duchess of Cambridge in their own style, dressed up in the finest couture from top local designers," it's explained.

Marie Claire dubs the new issue that goes on sale starting July 16 a "fan art tribute." Its editor Aspasia Karras gushes, "Kate Middleton is, without a doubt, the world's new style icon. We have honoured her with a fan-art tribute, dressing her up in clothes by South African designers and placing her in all sorts of fun, everyday situations."

"Fashion's new royal icon wears SA's best local designers," the magazine says on its cover before adding an additional clue on its lower part, "Of course she doesn't. But she should."

Lady GaGa Has Tiny Men Crawling Over Her Naked Body in Perfume Ad

The first look at the commercial ad for Lady GaGa's Fame scent has been uncovered. The Mother Monster bares all lying on her side with shirtless tiny men climbing and crawling over her naked body. Some of them are strategically placed to cover her private parts. She wears a black mask and holds her perfume on one of her hands.

The ad for the "First Ever Black Eau de Parfum" was taken by Steven Klein. "I won't lie I'm a bit nervous. its been a while since i've shared some work with you. But i'm so proud of Steven+I, we really did not sleep!" the pop singer tweeted before uploading the image.

She partnered with Coty Beauty. Its president Renato Semerari commented on their partnership, "She has her own ideas and very often they're very interesting and challenging...really, she's not the one who says, 'It's OK, let's move on and turn the page.' She's always thinking, 'Can we do more?' "

The perfume is presented in black liquid and will be released next month. Talking about the name of the scent that happened to be the title of her studio album, GaGa told WWD, "Fame is an illusion - if you really want it, anyone can have it."

Artist of the Week: Rita Ora

Paving her way in music industry by having her voice featured in already famed artist Craig David's "Awkward" (2007) and "Where's Your Love" (2008), Rita Ora soared atop the U.K. Singles Chart with her debut single "R.I.P" last May. She later broke into Billboard Hot 100 with Tinie Tempah-assisted "How We Do (Party)", which peaked at No. 62 and charted high in several other countries.

Previously auditioning for BBC's "Eurovision: Your Country Needs You" before she withdrew after a few episodes in 2009, the British singer made a brave move by leaving her home country and jetting off to New York. The decision proved to be right since it's during her stay in the Big Apple that she met Jay-Z, who later signed her to his company Roc Nation.

Under Jigga's record label as well as Columbia Records, Rita is now set to release her debut studio album "ORA" on August 27 in the United States. To give fans another preview to her music, she will soon debut "Radioactive" as her next U.S. single. " 'Radioactive' is going to be perfect because it's a breath of fresh air," she recently said of the upcoming track. "And it has a lot of great moments in it. It's not a pop-pop track, it's just a very cool track."

Describing what kind of music that will be heard in her album, the 21-year-old promised that it would not focus only on one genre. "Because I want people to know that I like pop music, but I also love reggae music, I love Eric Clapton, I love all these old souls that my dad force me to listen to [growing up]," she explained. "I want to make it really clear that my album doesn't have one specific genre. Because growing up I've never listen to one specific style of music."

While preparing to unleash her own record, the blonde star who has denied that she has a romantic relationship with reality star Rob Kardashian was serving as the opening act at Coldplay's tour on most of their U.K. dates earlier this summer.

Time now to groove on Bollywood’s hot item songs

From “Chikni chameli”, “Ooh la la” to “Anarkali disco chali” – in recent times, Bollywood has produced some peppy item numbers that can get you out of slumber and push you to put on your dancing shoes!
Filmmakers, choreographers and actors have condemned the use of the term “item number”, but that hasn’t taken away the jazzy, raunchy and foot-tapping feel and popularity of such songs.
IANS lists some new and not-so-new chart-topping item numbers:
“Anarkali disco chali” (“Housefull 2″): Item song queen Malaika Arora Khan burnt the dance floor in her floor-length anarkali dress as she grooved to this song. The peppy number, one of the hot favourites in party circuits nowadays, has many ‘anarkalis’ dancing to it in the ‘disco’!
“Dil mera muft ka” (“Agent Vinod”): Who would think a mujra would work with today’s generation? But Kareena Kapoor’s modern-day style mujra struck a delightful chord with youngsters thanks to this song, a fusion of modern and contemporary beats.
“Aa ante amalapuram” (“Maximum”): British-Indian actress Hazel Keech sizzled in a sexy way on this Hindi version of a popular southern song. Its fast paced beats, and screechy tone makes it the chosen track for dance lovers, knocked out after a drink or two!
“Chikni chameli” (“Agneepath”): The soft and sophisticated Katrina Kaif broke the typecast when she did a Lavani-inspired dance in this raunchy song. She danced with a bottle of alcohol hanging on her waist. Fans liked Katrina’s rustic avatar in the track, sung by Shreya Ghoshal.
“Ooh la la” (“The Dirty Picture”): Vidya Balan shocked her fans when she took on the sizzling avatar of southern sex siren Silk. From the naughty lyrics, catchy tune to the over-the-top and exposive outfits, music lovers have cheered the song since its launch and it continues to play in discotheques.
“Sheila ki Jawaani” (“Tees Maar Khan”): It was an instant hit. Thanks to the beats, lyrics and of course, Katrina’s deadly dance moves – the song, well with its quirkiness, made its way up to the charts and retained its glory for a long time. The film may not have fared well, but this spicy and sensational number became a winner.
“Munni badnaam hui” (“Dabangg”): A complete entertainer with Malaika Arora Khan’s seductive moves and Salman Khan’s crazy antics, “Munni badnaam” became the hottest and sexiest item number of 2010. The ‘Jhandu balm’ step was of course, an added attraction, copied by dance enthusiasts across the country.
“Beedi” (“Omkara”): With this number, dusky beauty Bipasha Basu proved she can dance, and how! She set the screen on fire with her moves in “Beedi” with her carefree dancing in a bold, rustic look in a lehenga-choli.
“I hate you” (“Delhi Belly”): Aamir Khan’s pelvic thrusts made this one a must-have in this list. His retro wigs, shiny hipsters and eye-warming style of dance in this Hinglish number, which asked you to “shake that biscuit baby!”
