Cher Leaves Hand Prints at the Hollywood Boulevard Landmark

Pop superstar Cher has become a part of Hollywood history by leaving prints of her hands and feet outside Los Angeles' famous Grauman's Chinese Theater. The "Believe" singer was honored with a special ceremony at the Hollywood Boulevard landmark on Thursday, November 18, following in the footsteps of stars including Frank Sinatra, John Wayne, Clint Eastwood and Johnny Depp by sinking her hands and feet into the famous concrete.

Cher's proud mother, Georgia Holt, and her son, Chaz Bono, were in the crowd to witness the event, and the star admitted she had been dreaming of the moment since she was a child.

She said, "This is more special than you can possibly imagine because when I was four years old, my mother and I came to this theater, actually my dad too, (and) saw Cinderella. I said to my mother, 'When I grow up I'm going to do this'."

Cher's G-String Showed Up at Salute Event

Cher suffered an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction during her Hollywood salute outside Grauman's Chinese Theater on Thursday, November 18 night when fans and onlookers got a good glimpse of her turquoise underwear. The pop superstar dressed quickly for the event and realized too late she wasn't covered up - and had to borrow clothing from her assistant.

She explains, "I lost the slip to my dress but no one realized, so I wore her tanktop under my dress." But even that wasn't enough.

Cher tells Los Angeles DJ Ryan Seacrest, "It was such a nightmare... Everyone kept standing behind me, reaching up under my skirt... and pulling down my little T-shirt." But at least she was wearing a G-string, "I had the presence of mind to put it on... I was so afraid it was gonna be worse."

Imran Khan Gels Well with Ranbir Kapoor’s Mom!

Yesteryear Bollywood actress Neetu Singh still carries with her, the teenage days’ charms and that reflects in her persona. Even the youngsters of the present generation love this attitude of her towards life and this may be the reason why Imran Khan bonded with her so well!
Few days back, Neetu Singh’s son Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor was allegedly said to be sharing not a very good term with his competitor Imran Khan. And the reason speculated was Imran’s fiancé Avantika, who had reportedly made fun of Ranbir while watching Rajneeti at a multiplex. But these two young superstars seem to have forgotten the incident and opted to consider it only as a thing of past.
Ranbir has probably taken the things sportingly and Imran has also showed a very nice gesture when he met Ranbir’s mother Neetu Singh and his sister Riddhima suddenly outside Radisson Hotel at Lexington Avenue in New York. The mother-daughter duo was enjoying their holidays there and Imran went to promote his upcoming movie Break Ke Baad opposite Deepika Padukone.
Ranbir and Neetu bonded very well during the meeting and they reportedly had a blast together. They chatted for a long time and exchanged warm greetings. In fact, they stayed in the same hotel but discovered it later. This accidental meet probably strengthened the bond between them. Recently, we have seen Ranbir and Imran appearing together in Karan Johar’s show ‘Koffee with Karan’. The youngsters’ duo was like a house on fire on the chat show and their chemistry was rocking.
Well, we can sometime expect Neetu playing mother to this youngest Khan in some film! Hope the filmmakers are listening!

Yamla Pagla Deewana Brings Back Father-Sons Duo

Yamla Pagla Deewana, the upcoming comedy flick starring Dharmendra and his sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol in lead roles is gearing up to be one of the most awaited films of the following year. And why not, considering that the film brings together the father-sons duo back on the silver screen. The first film which brought the three veteran actors together was Apne which released in 2007. And since then Bollywood producers have apparently not found the perfect story which can feature all three Deols. The wait is over and the next of the Deols’ family outing Yamla Pagla Deewana will hit screens in the month of January next year.
Unlike Apne, which in spite of having its share of fun was an intense drama, Yamla Pagla Deewana is sure to tickle the funny bones of the film’s audience. According to reports in the media, the film will see all three actors at their funniest best. In Yamla Pagla Deewana, Dharmendra plays the father to Sunny and Bobby Deol. Theirs is a Sikh family, the members of which never fail to get involved in a funny incident. In fact, it has also been reported that Bobby Deol’s character in the film, Gajodhar Singh shares a very cordial relationship with his father Dharam Singh, and they are so friendly in their interaction with one another that the son also jokingly abuses his father when he finds certain traits of his character disturbing.
We are sure that the father – sons duo must have had a lovely time bonding over Yamla Pagla Deewana. The audience too will hopefully help them retain the smile on their faces

‘Dulha Mil Gaya’ opens Indian film festival in Trinidad

Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Dulha Mil Gaya’, which was Trinidad and Tobago’s historic entry into the Bollywood movie arena, is one of the top films being shown in Port-of-Spain and Chaguanas as part of the first Indian film festival in the country.
‘Dulha Mil Gaya’ was filmed in this country. With a mega star cast of Shah Rukh, Sushmita Sen, Fardeen Khan and Ishita Sharma, it broke box office records here. This is one of 11 specially-selected Indian movies reflecting the various ethnic, cultural and geographical locations in India.
The festival began Wednesday and will be on till Nov 23 to mark 75 years of Indian films in this oil-rich nation.
At the formal launch of the festival at MovieTown, Indian High Commissioner Malay Mishra said Indian films moved from tents to cinemas, multiplexes and entertainment centres. ‘Dev D’ featuring Abhay Deol, Kalki Koechlin and Mahi Gill was shown to over 400 guests.
Nella Khan, parliamentary secretary in the Ministry of Arts and Multiculturalism, in her address, noted the importance of culture and art.
She said art and culture provide ‘an ideal vehicle for strengthening and deepening the bonds between countries and a way to reach out beyond government and institutions to the people.’
Khan said: ‘Through this window of films opened to us, we would be able to enjoy and learn the many different languages, peoples and cultures of the world and its diversity. The importance of this festival cannot be underestimated in the light of the importance of Indian music and culture in this country.’
This film festival marks the 75th anniversary of the first Indian movie shown here. It was brought here by the late and former councillor of the Port-of-Spain City Council, Ranjit Kumar, an engineer by profession in 1935. Kumar is credited for the construction of Wrightson Road, and several other engineering structures in this country in the pre-independence era. A special guest was his daughter, Catherine Kumar, CEO of the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
Other dignitaries were press secretary to Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar, and High Commissioner-designate to the United Kingdom, Garvin Nicholas; Caricom Cultural Ambassador Manadal Daaga; chairman of Movie Town Derek Chin; president of the National Council of Indian Culture (NCIC) Deokienanan Sharma; community activist Utrah Ramoutar; and Hans Hanoomansingh.
Mishra said the Indian film industry connection between Trinidad and Tobago and India was very close. He said there was much more to Indian cinema than Bollywood. Mishra said the entertainment sector was being looked at as a strategic sector, and there are plans ahead to do co-productions with the University of the West Indies’ Film Department.
Mishra read a letter sent by Raghu Menon, India’s secretary of information and broadcasting, commending the high commission for ‘its timely initiative’ as Indian cinema has gone global and is part of mainstream entertainment throughout the world today.
Menon said Indian films have won awards for making strides in the Westren film industry.
‘The Film Festival opens up avenues for cooperation between Trinidad and Tobago and India in the domain of cinema in the future,’ he said. There was a need ‘to bring Indian cinema to the diaspora in its cultural diversity as this was the best reflection of society’, he said.
On the chart for the festival are ‘The White Elephant’, ‘Haat’, ‘Kutty Srank’, ‘Harischandrachi Factory’, ‘Dharm’, ‘Gulab Talkies’, ‘Kanchivaram’, ‘Janala’, ‘Little Zizou’.
The Indian diaspora comprises 44 percent of a population of 1.3 million people, and since the introduction of Indian movies, the diaspora considers cinema as one of the major links with India.
Especially on weekends, thousands of Indian families will visit scores of cinemas scattered across the country. The cinemas were owend by Indian owners. The diaspora was first introduced here between 1845 and 1917, principally from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, to work on sugar plantations.

Bryan Ferry Treated With Sexy Dance Routine on TV Show

Rocker Bryan Ferry received a saucy surprise when he was interviewed on a TV chat show this week - he was treated to a sexy dance routine by two scantily-clad women. The Roxy Music frontman appeared as a guest on Italian show "Chiambretti Night" and was pranked by hosts at the end of the program.

As a shocked Ferry grinned with delight, a female dancer wearing thigh-high boots, stockings and suspenders gyrated in front of him and whispered teasingly in his ear. The redhead was then joined by another beauty who helped peel off her pal's dress to reveal her black leather underwear - before the giggling pair shared a lingering kiss, leaving Ferry wide-eyed and laughing.

The British musician is not the first star to receive a raunchy dance on the show - director Terry Gilliam, Dutch actor Rutger Hauer, and former "The O.C." actress Mischa Barton have all been treated to a surprise routine during their interview.

Ashmit Patel And Veena Malik Caught Sharing A Passionate Kiss

Was this scheduled to happen? Were we just waiting for this or is this unexpected? Veena Malik, who’s very presence in ‘Bigg Boss 4′ is full of controversies, has gone all out to smooch and do what-not with a fellow contestant – alleged to be Ashmit Patel. Why?
Well, the reason could be many, including the fact that she has been locked inside a house with the same people for about 40 days, and not having access to many things that may help keep one’s sanity, such passion is bound to take shape and help boost morale of some people at least.
And what about privacy? It is obvious that the two passionate loving souls, while sharing their two-minute-long kiss and fondling each other’s bodies, were completely aware that their romantic encounter is being fully captured on camera. And their decision to go for it even then, is nothing but courageous.
But when are we going to see this passionate encounter? Probably never, or at least not on screen of our television. The encounter certainly has some adult content and cannot be aired on prime time television in India!

"She's not in labor. John is in route back to the U.S. as was always the plan for him to return this weekend," the rep added. John and Kelly, who announced the pregnancy back in May, are due to welcome their baby boy later this month.

John jetted back to the U.S. after flying his personal Boeing 707 to Sydney on Monday, November 8 as a special guest at Qantas' 90th anniversary celebration. The "Wild Hogs" star recently said that he wants to be by Kelly's side for the birth.

Katy Perry and Russell Brand Won't Turn Into the Beckhams

Katy Perry has vowed not to follow in the footsteps of David Beckham and Victoria Adams by going into business with her new husband Russell Brand - because they're too focused on their own projects.

The singer wed the "Get Him to the Greek" star last month, but has been busy promoting her latest album, "Teenage Dream", and new fragrance, Purr, while Brand has been preparing for a new movie role.

She's dismissed rumors the pair is planning to go into business together like the Beckhams, but has praised the soccer ace and his wife for their high-profile ventures. Perry tells Britain's News of the World tabloid, "I have no criticism for them at all, they're the f**king Beckhams. They're as big as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie."

"Our map is different. Me and Russell have different goals. He's really intensely into his book right now. He's also editing and is about to star in another film. I'm halfway through the record and about to launch my perfume, Purr. There's a lot going on."

Robert Pattinson and Jason Statham Not in Bar Fight Over Kristen Stewart

A rep for Jason Statham has debunked swirling rumor that the "Transporter 3" actor was entangled in a bar fight with Robert Pattinson over his rumored lover Kristen Stewart. And as the rumor mentioned that Jason and Robert had the alleged rift in an L.A. bar, the rep added that Jason isn't in L.A. for a while now.

The bar fight story was run by Hollywood Life after picking up Us Weekly report. With a headline saying "Robert Pattinson Gets In Bar Fight With Action Star Protecting Kristen Stewart!", the site noted, "US Weekly reports that after actor Jason Statham hit on girlfriend Kristen at an L.A. bar, Rob stepped in."

The site went on quoting a pal as saying, "Jason is totally jacked and Rob is scrawny. But Rob said, 'I think you've had enough time with her.' They got heated." However, before things reportedly got out of control, bouncers were said stepping in to stop the two actors.

While Robert and Kristen have been rumored dating since they first starred together in the first installment of "Twilight" movie series, Jason has been dating Rosie Huntington-Whiteley who is lately linked to her "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" co-star Shia LaBeouf. Shia, in the meantime, recently split from girlfriend Carey Mulligan.

Hugh Laurie Regrets Not Signing Up to Hong Kong Police Force

Actor Hugh Laurie regrets not signing up to the Hong Kong police force as a teenager - because he could have retired a long time ago. The "House" star, 51, considered jetting off to the Far East when he was 16 and working for the police force, but gave up on the idea to study at Britain's prestigious Cambridge University.

However, Laurie admits he still thinks about what his life could have been if he'd pursued his first career choice. He tells Britain's Sunday Express, "When I was 16 they were looking for me to serve in the colony. I became fixated on this romantic idea of working on the other side of the world and wearing a duffel coat and probably short trousers. I would have smoked a pipe, been acerbic and reunited young lovers."

"I even got the brochure and sure enough the uniforms were very smart and it was all shaping up well. Now I slightly regret not taking that course as in 2001 all these blokes in the Hong Kong police who would have been in my position would have been retiring at the age of 35."
