Lady Gaga Warns Her Little Monsters: 'Cocaine Is the Devil'

Lady Gaga is one of few superstars to admit to dabbling in drugs. Last year, the pop avant gardist raised eyebrows when she divulged an occasional cocaine habit to Vanity Fair, saying, "I won't lie; It's occasional. And when I say occasional, I mean maybe a couple of times a year."

But in an interview with Howard Stern on Monday, Gaga seemed to have changed her tune about narcotics—at least she's wary of any of her fans thinking her admission was an endorsement, anyway. When discussing her days waiting tables in New York, Gaga admitted to finding comfort in drugs, but warned, "To any little sweethearts that are listening ... don't touch [cocaine], it's the devil."

She added, "I think that I was lonely and there was something about the drug that made me feel like I had a friend. And I regret every line that I ever did."

Gaga eventually curtailed Stern's foray into sex and drugs talk, saying, "I've got a lot of young fans and I love you and I respect your show and I know you want to talk about sex and cocaine—but honestly you should wait as long as you possibly can to have sex... I really think that kids have sex way too young."
