Having ended her years at the wizarding world of "Harry Potter" film franchise, Emma Watson could find herself in a fairytale. The 21-year-old English beauty is lined up to star in Guillermo del Toro's "Beauty and the Beast (2013)".
Revealing the news is producer Denise Di Novi who says, at the junket of her film "Crazy, Stupid, Love." in New York, that she and del Toro are developing the upcoming project. Details of the classic tale-adapted movie are still scarce.
Emma Watson reprises her role as Hermione Granger in the final "Harry Potter" film, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II", which has been unleashed in the U.S. on July 15. She will next be seen in "My Week with Marilyn" and "The Perks of Being a Wallflower".
del Toro himself, meanwhile, is gearing up for the release of his horror film "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark". The "Biutiful" producer is set to begin production of "Pacific Rim" in Toronto later this year, and promote the project at San Diego Comic Con this month.
