Oprah Wants Ted Williams to Work for OWN

If Oprah Winfrey still has her talk show running, she would have sent her team to invite Ted Williams immediately. The multi-millionaire entrepreneur is "fascinated" by the story of Williams who went from a homeless man to a celebrity overnight because of his golden voice and the story behind his fall.

With that in mind, Oprah is looking forward to hire the 53-year-old man.
"I would like to see him be part of OWN," Winfrey told Inside Edition in an interview airing Friday, January 7. "It would be fantastic to hear him say, 'The Oprah Winfrey Network'."

Oprah then revealed why she is among those impressed by Williams' talent. "The reason we're all so fascinated, I think, is because it means you can be homeless on the street, carrying a sign like we've all seen, and this can happen to you," she said.

Since his YouTube video emerged with the help of a Colombus reporter, Williams has made TV appearances on "Today" and "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" among others, signed a contract with Kraft's Mac and Cheese, and voiced MSNBC promo. In addition, Cleveland Cavaliers has offered him a huge job and Jack Nicholson has contacted his family for a possible movie project.

But Williams, who was once a radio host before drug and booze claimed his career, is also concerned about going down the gutter again. He's going to pick one job to focus on and would see a therapist. "I feel like I'm going to need it," he said.
