Annie Leibovitz Denies Copying Dita Von Teese for Katy Perry Shoot

The famed snapper shot Katy Perry wearing lingerie and posing with her hands on her hips for the June (11) cover of U.S. magazine Vanity Fair, sparking comparisons to a sultry advertising campaign Von Dita Von Teese starred in for underwear firm Wonderbra in 2008.

Annie Leibovitz has now denied borrowing ideas from Von Teese, telling the New York Post's Page Six column, "I'd never seen the Wonderbra ad. Katy's is a classic pose as old as the hills."

Von Teese herself insists she is flattered by the alleged imitation, adding, "Katy and I are friends. She comes to a lot of my shows, but she (recently) came backstage and said, 'I am taking all of this (gesturing at Von Teese's hair and costume).' People have always copied my style. I used to have friends who would dye their hair exactly the same shade as mine. I see it as a compliment."
