It seems Salman Khan's latest flick 'Ek Tha Tiger' is a really strong contender to beat the box office record of Aamir Khan's '3 Idiots'. As per trade analyst Komal Nahta tweets, "ETT Day 7: Final figure - Rs. 16.31 crore. Total for 7 days - Rs. 137.15 crore. Superb!!!!"
Taran Adarsh also has good words to say about 'Ek Tha Tiger'. he writes on micro blogging site Twitter, "#EkThaTiger - India *actuals* Tue 16.31 cr. Total: 137.15 cr nett. Excellent! All set to cross #Dabangg [147 cr] & #Bodyguard [148 cr]."
For 'Ek Tha Tiger', crossing the overall box office collection of 'Dabangg' and 'Bodyguard' seems just a matter of time, in fact, if the film continues to perform like this then it will surpass 'Dabangg' and 'Bodyguard' in next 24 hours.
'Ek Tha Tiger' has set a new record for the first day collection in Bollywood by earning approximately Rs 33 crore. Earlier, the record was held by Hrithik Roshan's 'Agneepath', which had garnered Rs 22 crore on the opening day.
