Aamir Khan hopes ‘Ferrari Ki Sawaari’ beats ’3 Idiots’ success

 Sharman Joshi and Boman Irani starrer ‘Ferrari Ki Sawari’ hits the theatres today and Aamir Khan hopes that the film does so well at the box office that it beats the success of their movie “3 Idiots”.

“I am here to wish the entire team. I am sure they have made a good film and Sharman is a nice actor and our wishes are with them. We want everyone who watched ’3 Idiots’ to watch ‘Ferrari Ki Sawaari’ also. We wish that this film goes far beyond ’3 Idiots’,” the 47-year-old said here Thursday at the premiere of the film.

‘Ferrari Ki Sawaari’ is Rajesh Mapuskar’s directorial debut and has been produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra.

Rajkumar Hirani, who has edited the film, stated that the intention was to make a film for under Rs.100 crore.

“The film has not been made with the intention of crossing the Rs.100 crore mark. If that had been our intention, we would have been making at least one film a year. I take three years to make a film. If money was the intention, then every year we would have been making two films,” said Hirani.

“Ferrari Ki Sawaari” tells the story of a father who will go to any length to fulfil his son’s dream of becoming a cricketer.

'Ninja Turtles' Reboot Gets Delayed Due to Script Issue

 Michael Bay-produced "Ninja Turtles" is facing a trouble. Paramount Pictures has decided to delay the production of the effects-heavy film project, which was originally set to be released in the U.S. in December 2013. The movie, which was in pre-production stage in Vancouver, has now been pushed back to May 2014.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the abrupt decision was made due to the script issue. Insiders said that Paramount is now temporarily laying off the film's crew and telling them that the work stoppage is "indefinite." Another source revealed that the project has been pushed by ten weeks.

"Ninja Turtles" is a joint production between Paramount and Viacom's Nickelodeon. Back in May, when announcing the project, Viacom CEO Philippe Dauman gushed, "Our pipeline is extremely strong. We're developing more new [episodes] of our popular series and more exciting series. And of course, we're particularly excited about the revival of the [Teenage Mutant Ninja] Turtles franchise."

While Bay served as the producer, "Wrath of the Titans" helmer Johnathan Liebesman was tapped to direct the live action/CGI combo movie which was predicted to cost an estimated $100 million to produce. Providing the script, meanwhile, were Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec.

The project had grabbed attention from fans, especially since Bay revealed his plan to put some twists to the original plot line. Instead of presenting Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael as mutants, the "Transformers" helmer said that the quartet will appear as aliens in the planned film.

"These turtles are from an alien race and they are going to be tough, edgy, funny and completely lovable," so he said while attending the 2012 Nickelodeon Upfront in March. "When you see this movie, kids are going to believe, one day, that these turtles actually do exist when we are done with this movie."

As for Paramount, this is not the first time the studio halts the production of its potential tentpoles. The studio, which recently celebrated its 100th anniversary, has delayed the release dates for Channing Tatum's "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" and Brad Pitt's "World War Z" due to script issue.

Lindsay Lohan Is Fine After Doctor Is Called to Her Hotel Room

 Lindsay Lohan was rumored to be found unconscious in her hotel room on Friday morning, June 15 and sent to hospital, but the story was denied by her publicist Steve Honig. The representative said paramedics indeed checked on her, but she was never hospitalized or collapsed. She is fine and resting now, the rep insisted.

The doctor was called to Lindsay's room at the Ritz-Carlton in Marina del Rey by "concerned" producers "as a precaution" when she did not come out of her room. She reportedly was due to continue filming her new movie "Liz & Dick" that day, but she informed someone on set that she wasn't feeling well and needed a break.

The doctor reportedly called ahead to the hotel and had someone from the hotel check on the 25-year-old actress. When she didn't answer the door and the staff couldn't get in, a 911 call was made. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's office later described her condition as "groggy," but she's "OK as far as we know."

Honig explained that Lindsay didn't answer the door because she was falling asleep. "Lindsay worked a grueling schedule the past few days. She was on set last night at 7 pm and worked through the night until 8 am this morning. She took a nap before shooting her final scene," the rep explained.

The publicist confirmed Lindsay, who's involved in a car crash recently, was indeed "examined" but she's "fine." He added, "[She] did suffer some exhaustion and dehydration. Lindsay was never taken to a hospital; reports to the contrary are false. She is resting now and is hoping to be back on set later this afternoon."

Her attorney Shawn Holley additionally told Eyewitness News, "As I understand it, she was exhausted, after shooting non-stop for 2 days." The lawyer added, "They determined that she was fine."

 When visiting the Kardashians, Oprah Winfrey had a one-on-one chat with one of its famous daughters Kim Kardashian. The host grilled the estranged wife of Kris Humphries with questions about her failed marriage with the NBA star and her relationship with her new beau Kanye West, 35.

"I feel like I've had an epiphany," Kim said of how her divorce changed her as a person. Rowland recorded her own version of "Summer Dreaming", which was originally sung by Kate Yania more than a decade before, after listening to it at the Bacardi anniversary party in January this year.  After playing clumsy teen Bella Swan in the first four "Twilight Saga" films, Kristen Stewart will finally have a drastic transformation as a vampire in "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn Part II". Admitting that she's excited by her new form, Kristen gushed that she wants her famous character to be the best vampire.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the 22-year-old actress shared that she learned from her "Twilight" co-stars about how to play a vampire. "I knew every single version of vampire, and I took a little bit from everyone," she said. "But I wanted her to be the best."

Kristen went on recalling the unforgettable moment where she had to film a scene where vampire Bella hunts a mountain lion. "I leaped through the air and tackled a crazy huge tube of foam shaped like a mountain lion," she remembered. "I ripped that mother to the ground! For the first time I was like, 'Wow', I'm, like, really playing a vampire now."

Though happy with Bella's vampire transformation, Kristen did feel uncomfortable when adjusting herself to the makeover. Her co-star Robert Pattinson said that Kristen always complained about the red contact lenses that she must wear when portraying the bloodsucker.

"Kristen complained about 500 times more than I have," the Edward Cullen depicter said. "She condensed four years of complaining a few months," the actor joked to which Kristen responded with a sigh.

On the other hand, Taylor Lautner gushed that Bella's transformation is something that Twi-hards have been eagerly waiting for. "That's kind of the huge thing that fans are waiting for - to see the clumsy teenage Bella that Kristen did so well suddenly become this super-sexy vampire who's athletic and graceful," he gushed. "She took it very seriously and pulls it off."

"Breaking Dawn II" focuses on a perilous chain of events after Bella gives birth to Renesmee. Along with her husband Edward and his family, she now must face an all-out battle against the Volturi, which is the fearsome council of vampire leaders.

Jennifer Love Hewitt Mourns the Loss of Her Mother Patricia

 Jennifer Love Hewitt is grieving the loss of her mother and best friend, Patricia. The 67-year-old speech-language pathologist lost her battle against cancer on Tuesday, June 12, the actress' representative confirms to the press.

"Her family mourns her loss," the publicist says in a statement. "She was an angel to all who knew her and they are grateful she is now in a better place. They ask for privacy at this difficult time. No further details are being provided."

Jennifer and her mother were very close. They moved from Texas to L.A. in 1989 for her to pursue a career in show business. She starred in TV show "Kids Incorporated" in the next year, and continued to score roles in small- and big-screen projects in the following years.

Patricia was very supportive of Jennifer's career, and found her daughter's role as a prostitute in the "Client List" hilarious. "[She said] 'For 15 years people have been talking about your boobs. Earlier this year, you wrote about your hoo haw in a book. Now you're playing a crack ho on TV.' She was like, 'Do you think maybe you could do an animated movie next?'," the actress opened up.

Jennifer herself explained her decision to reprise the role she played in the 2010 TV movie of the same name because she "needed a little bit of a re-creation." She told The Times, "I looked at my career and thought, 'Let's shake it up a little bit. Let's have butterflies in our stomach'."

First 'Life of Pi' Footage Teases Tiger Vs. Human Fight

A very first glimpse at Ang Lee's anticipated fantasy movie "Life of Pi" has been made available for viewing pleasure. The 11-second snippet teases the adventure in the film. It shows a gigantic Bengal tiger roaring and attacking the titular character, who is played by Indian student Suraj Sharma.

"Life of Pi" centers on Pi Patel, the precocious son of a zookeeper. Dwellers in Pondicherry, India, the family decides to move to Canada, hitching a ride on a huge freighter. After a shipwreck, Pi is found adrift in the Pacific Ocean on a 26-foot lifeboat with a zebra, a hyena, an orangutan and a 450-pound Bengal tiger named Richard Parker, all fighting for survival.

The movie will mark Lee's first 3D creation. The "Brokeback Mountain" helmer once admitted that he had an "intimidating" experience when shooting in the hi-def format. "I was very intimidated," so he confessed. "We're still novices at this. It's hard to shoot in 3D, but it makes it more interesting. The experience is more intense."

An adaptation of Yann Martel's bestselling novel, "Life of Pi" will make its way out onto the U.S. theaters on December 21. The movie is also supported by Tobey Maguire, Tabu, Irrfan Khan and Adil Hussain.
