Summit Confirms 'Breaking Dawn II' Promotions Despite Kristen Stewart's Scandal

Kristen Stewart's infamous cheating scandal with her married "Snow White and the Huntsman" director, Rupert Sanders, won't likely affect the promotional events scheduled for "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn Part II". Summit Entertainment has confirmed that it will go "full steam ahead" to promote the last "Twilight Saga" film despite the fact that its two leading stars, Kristen and Robert Pattinson, are having personal issues.

Confirming the news to Entertainment Weekly, Summit's president of worldwide marketing Nancy Kirkpatrick states, "While it is studio policy not to comment on the personal lives of actors, Summit is moving full steam ahead and looking forward to this November's opening of 'The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn Part II'." She adds, "We are confident that the film delivers amazing entertainment for our passionate fans and general audience alike."

Ever since Kristen's scandal went public, fans have been speculating on whether or not she and Rob will be on hand to promote the final chapter of the vampire film series that helped catapult their career. "Breaking Dawn II" itself is slated for a November 16 release in cinemas across the United States.

As for Rob, the British actor has recently been struck with reports that he's canceled the press duties for "Cosmopolis" amid his romance woe with Kristen. Showing that he's still a professional, Rob confirmed through his representative that he hasn't canceled any of his commitments on the David Cronenberg-directed film.

"Cosmopolis is a film that Robert is very proud of and looks forward to supporting," said the rep. "No confirmed engagements have been canceled. Any reports to the contrary are inaccurate." The upcoming thriller will make its way out in theaters nationwide this August 17.
