First official photos of Dr. Curt Connors have made its way out. Entertainment Weekly reveals a slew of new images from "The Amazing Spider-Man", and two of them highlight on Rhys Ifans' villainous character, who will become The Lizard. One sees the actor sitting in a messy lab in a white scientist costume, while another displays him shirtless and drenching wet.
The Curt Connors' stills aside, other new pictures feature Peter Parker and other characters, including Gwen's father. One image particularly features injured Parker getting personal with Gwen Stacy, while another sees him at home with Aunt May and Uncle Ben. There is also a close-up snap of Spider-Man's mechanical webshooters.
Unlike the first three "Spider-Man" films, this upcoming movie is promised to present a more "realistic" feel. Screenwriter Steve Kloves hinted in a recent interview that the film is not going to be "cartoony". "I said, 'I can't do 'shazam!' dialogue, that's not what I do," he told Collider.
"If you wanna do the Peter Parker I knew as a kid reading the comic book, I can do that, because it was grounded in exactly what you said, reality," Kloves continued. "So they said 'Yes that's what we want, we want you to come in and write Peter Parker as a real character.' "
"The Amazing Spider-Man" revolves around Peter Parker who is grappling with both contemporary human problems and amazing super-human crises. Andrew Garfield stars as the titular character with Emma Stone, Sally Field, Denis Leary and Martin Sheen among the cast ensemble.
Directed by Marc Webb, this "Spider-Man" reboot is set to come out in theaters across the United States on July 3, 2012.
Vanessa Hudgenshas turned from a chic-looking girl to a frumpy rebel for her role as a homeless teen in new movie "Gimme Shelter". The "Bandslam" movie beauty was spotted with an unflattering look on the set of the film in Newark, N.J. on July 14. Usually having her long locks perfectly groomed, the Gabriella Montez of "High School Musical" sported a short messy hairdo on Thursday. She no longer applied perfect makeup which accentuated her beauty, but had puffy bags and dark eye circles. Vanessa completed her rebellious image with piercings on her lip and nose as well as a tattoo on her neck. To cap it all, she hid her voluptuous figure in a three-layer baggy, boyish outfit. She put a gray shapeless hoodie on top of her black t-shirt and maroon tee, and finished off her look with loose-fitting denims. Commenting on her dramatic transformation, she wrote on Facebook, "I'm so excited and proud of the work I've been doing and let me tell you, you all are going to be SHOCKED with how I look in this movie. It's crazy sauce. Lol only one more week of shooting till I'm done!" Vanessa Hudgens will play a pregnant, homeless teen who flees her abusive mother and seeks out her biological father who is played by Brendan Fraser. He first takes her in, but quickly throws her out when she declines his demand to abort her child. The movie hasn't got any release date.
Asher Roth has just debuted a music video in support of his single "Summertime". Capturing the spirit of summer, the "Asleep in the Bread Aisle" rapper is lounging on the beach, throwing a party at the backyard and soaking in a hot tub with scantily-clad ladies.
"Summertime" features Quan and comes from production hands of Nottz, the same guy he worked with for 2010's mini album "The Rawth (EP)". When releasing the sunny, breezy song last month, Asher tweeted, "There's no way I can let the #firstdayofsummer pass without dropping a record."
Asher Roth is currently working on his upcoming second studio album which is tentatively titled "The Spaghetti Tree". Rumor has it, he will collaborate with Akon in a song called "Last Man Standing". Other details about the forthcoming CD are still scarce.
AnnaLynne McCord has definitely moved on from on-and-off boyfriend Kellan Lutz. The actress famous for her portrayal of Naomi Clark on "90210" flaunted her romance with "Prison Break" star Dominic Purcell on Tuesday, July 12 in between breaks from filming her hit series.
Covering up her high-waisted bikini costume under a large purple robe, the 23-year-old beauty was caught on camera engaging in a public make-out session with the 41-year-old actor while on the Redondo Beach in Los Angeles. She wrapped her legs around him, while he clasped his hands around her bottom.
Despite their 18-year age difference, AnnaLynne and Dominic looked very cozy together. Aside from their public make-out, the twosome were spotted taking a romantic sunset stroll on the beach. Dominic was also seen tenderly running his fingers through AnnaLynne's hair when they cuddled in between takes on the set.
AnnaLynne reportedly met Dominic when filming upcoming movie "Officer Down". The "Nip/Tuck" actress was rumored to be back on with ex-boyfriend Kellan earlier this year after she came to his brother's wedding, but the "Twilight Saga" actor told Ryan Seacrest in June that he was single.
Elizabeth Hurley has channeled her inner sexy media mogul on "Gossip Girl" set. The model-turned-actress flaunted her cleavage in a red dress when filming a scene with regular cast Chace Crawford in Manhattan, New York City on Wednesday, July 13.
Clad in a checked shirt and black pants, the young actor put his hand on her waist as they stood close to each other. This leads to a speculation that their characters, Nate Archibald and Diana Payne, are hooking up on The CW drama series.
Hurley's character is described as a smart, self-made woman whose presence will affect the lives of Upper East Sider, including Gossip Girl herself. The "Bedazzled" beauty signed up for a multi-episode arc.
Another new cast member Roxane Mesquida was also spotted hitting the set with her on-screen brother Hugo Becker that day. The French actress/model, cast as Prince Louis' sister who will derail his wedding with Blair, had been previously seen shooting a scene with Leighton Meester.
Justin Bieber has sparked concern about his relationship with girlfriend Selena Gomez. The "Baby" hitmaker recently put up a cryptic message on his Twitter page which generated speculations he is not serious with the Alex Russo of "Wizards of Waverly Place".
"I'm not sayin your the one girl, I'm just here to have fun girl," so the 17-year-old heartthrob wrote on Wednesday, July 13 afternoon. Still, it is worth noticing that the "Never Say Never" singer could be referring to the lyrics of a song or a quote in the tweet instead of his relationship with Selena.
In fact, Justin was seen joined by Selena when attending the 2011 ESPY Awards later that day. While they arrived to the event separately, the teen couple sat together in the audience once inside the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live. He even put his arm around her shoulder as they posed for photos together in their adjacent seats.
Justin and Selena were also seen flaunting their togetherness during a recent karaoke outing. Last Sunday evening, July 10, the two went out for some karaoke together at the Lucky Strike in downtown Los Angeles. Singing a cover to Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow's "Picture", they ended their performance with a liplock.
Lady GaGa has been slammed due to her stage act at Sidney's Town Hall. The Mother Monster posed as a mermaid when taking the stage Down Under on Wednesday, July 13. Sporting a short cyan wig, she wore a black leather tail, buttoned-up top and long veil.
The criticized performance was hot on heels of controversy surrounding the originality of Katy Perry's "mermaid planking", but it was not GaGa's costume which drew attention. It's her act of sitting on a wheelchair which infuriated some disability groups.
One of those finding her act offensive is Roman Reed Foundation which is promoting spinal cord injury research. "Dear @ladygaga how about using your celebrity status 2 try 2 get us out of wheelchairs. Instead of cruising one. Cool?!" the organization tweeted.
Jesse Billauer, the founder of disability group Life Rolls On Foundation, is also not impressed with GaGa. "Since this isn't the first time she has used a wheelchair in her performances, I invite her to learn more about the 5.6 million Americans who live with paralysis," Jesse said.
"I extend a personal invitation to Lady GaGa to attend one of our Life Rolls On events where quadriplegics and paraplegics surf, skate, and snowboard, so she can see how much is possible beyond a wheelchair," the activist added. "Maybe that will be most shocking to her of all."
Sue Egan at Physical Disability Australia, however, had no complain for GaGa. "If she used a wheelchair to embellish her act, well as long as she didn't take it too lightly and it would seem the audience weren't concerned about it," the executive officer said. "I'm sure there were people with a disability in the audience."
Lady GaGa hasn't responded to any of the critics. This is not the first time she was slammed by disability group. Back in April this year, she landed in hot water after throwing a "retarded" remark when responding to Madonna comparison.
"My apologies for not speaking thoughtfully," she said. "To anyone that was hurt, please know that it was furiously unintentional. An honest mistake, requires honesty to make. Whether life's disabilities left you outcast bullied or teased, rejoice and love yourself today."
Just few days before its official release, the teaser trailer for "The Dark Knight Rises" hits the web in a bootleg version. Most of the scenes in the video fit the previously-revealed description. It shows Bruce Wayne walking through the mountain and bed-ridden Jim Gordon pleading for Batman's comeback.
A follow-up to 2008's critically-acclaimed "The Dark Knight", the action movie is going to be released in theaters across the United States in the summer of 2012. Christopher Nolan returns to the directing seat, Christian Bale reprises his role as Wayne/the Dark Knight, and Gary Oldman comes back as Commissioner Gordon. Anne Hathaway is added to the cast ensemble to play Selina Kyle/Catwoman.
The teaser trailer was supposed to be attached to "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II" when the Daniel Radcliffe-starring film is out in theaters across the United States beginning July 15. Now that it has been leaked, some speculated that Warner Bros. might want to rush its release.
Katy Perry created an internet buzz on Monday, July 11 when she posted a picture of herself doing a "PROPER Planking" in a mermaid costume. The picture, which is rumored to be taken from a video shoot, sparked rumor that she copied Lady GaGa who has performed in a similar outfit at France's "Le Grand Journal" last month.
GaGa hasn't responded to the issue, but her longtime creative director Laurieann Gibson has already pointed out on Twitter that the Mother Monster's mermaid style was the number one. Without mentioning Katy's name, she wrote, "Proud of my artist #1 in the world @Ladygaga her vision& passion. even though they try to steal a tail there's only 1 Mermaid, Swim On!!!"
Coincidentally, GaGa talked about her plan to relive her mermaid image in her next music video when doing an interview in a Taiwanese talk show recently. Explaining that the mermaid is her alter ego, she elaborated, "Yuyi is in incubation, for anyone who knows what that means."
"The relation of the video to my real life, as well as to my dream of the future, is really what makes it so special," she said. "Part of what Born This Way is all about is choosing to live halfway between reality and fantasy at all times, and how anyone can do that. So this video really, really challenges that idea and also celebrates it. And it's very exciting."
Being the cover girl of InStyle's August edition, Katie Holmes is singing praises of underwear. While opening up about her a fashion do and don't, the 32-year-old wife of Hollywoodactor Tom Cruise reveals why nice undies are her favorite splurge.
"They make you feel special when you put them on in the morning," explains the former "Dawson's Creek" actress, who hopes to "age gracefully". She goes on to share, "Even when I was a little girl I loved my 'days of the week' pairs. I love the hot pink ones, that makes my day!"
Speaking of fashion, the "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark" star spills that she tries to be bold with her choices. "I'm not afraid to try a new designer or do something trendy," she admits, before adding with a warning, "but it has to look right on my body. You don't want to look like a fashion victim!"
On how she prevents being a fashion victim, the mother of one says, "Certain colors don't work on me; yellow isn't my friend." She adds, "I don't like big, pouffy sleeves. And some dresses, like if it has a big bow and skirt, are too old-ladyish on me. If I can wear it when I'm 80 I'm going to wait."
Fans apparently are not the only ones left surprised by Daniel Radcliffe's admission of his addiction to alcohol. Emma Watson, the 21-year-old actor's co-star in the "Harry Potter" series, recently admitted to host David Letterman that she herself has no idea he had battled alcoholism.
The Hermione Granger depicter made the confession when stopping by "Late Show with David Letterman" on Monday night, July 11. "To be honest, it's really not something that I genuinely know much about," she said. "But as far as I know, he never took a sick day. He was like the most professional, amazing guy ever."
When the question turned to whether she liked to drink, the 21-year-old was more reluctant to give her answer. "I mean, yes, I have tried spirits! Of course, I've tried spirits," she did admit though. "We drink at 18 in the U.K.! But I'm actually legal to drink now in the U.S. It's worth mentioning, I'm 21!"
As David persisted with the topic, the actress, who has landed a role in "The Perks of Being a Wallflower", finally opened up, "Yes, I actually have. I got very very drunk once in my life, as everyone does." When the audience cheered at her revelation, she added, "I've got drunk, I've been drunk and I'll bow to that.
Penelope Cruz has recently been spotted in Rome, Italy, kicking off production for her new movie"The Bop Decameron". The wife of actor Javier Bardem shows off her post-baby figure in a tight-fitting red mini dress for the Monday, July 11 filming.
The "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" leading lady shot her scene at Il Vero Aldrefo restaurant. She was joined by Woody Allen who is doing multitasks for the big screen project. He serves as a director and screenwriter as well as plays one of the characters.
In addition to Allen and Cruz, "Bop Decameron" will also star Alec Baldwin, Roberto Benigni, Judy Davis, Jesse Eisenberg, Greta Gerwig and Ellen Page. Details about the movie including its release date and synopsis are still kept under wraps.
Sgt. Scott Moore seemingly owes Justin Timberlake a "thank you" for the actor's role in making his dream a reality. The "Friends with Benefits" actor has recently encouraged his co-star Mila Kunis into saying yes to the Marine's YouTube invitation to the Marine Corps Ball in November.
Justin and Mila were doing an interview with Fox411 over the weekend for their upcoming romantic comedy when question about the invitation came out. Before the "Black Swan" beauty could react, the "SexyBack" singer asked her excitedly, "Have you seen this? Have you heard about this? You need to do it for your country."
Justin then sent out a direct message to Scott, "I'm going to work on this, man. This needs to go down." After consulting with her publicist, Mila gave her answer, "I'll go." She then turned to Justin and said, "I'll do it for you. Are you going to come?" To which, Justin replied, "They don't want me! They want you. You need to do it for your country." In the end, Mila confirmed, "I'll do it."
Sgt. Scott Moore, of the 3rd Battalion 2nd Marines in Musa Qala, Afghanistan, issued his invitation to Mila by posting a video on YouTube in June. In the seconds-long clip, the Marine asked the former "That '70s Show" actress to accompany him to the Marine Corps Ball on November 18 in Greenville, North Carolina.
"Hey Mila, Sgt. Moore, but you can call me Scotty," he introduces himself in the beginning of the video. "I just wanted to take a moment out of my day to invite you to the Marine Corps Ball on November 18 in Greenville, North Carolina with yours truly. So take a second, think about it [and] get back to me. Alright, bye now."
Emma Watson looked stunning at the screening of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II" premiere in New York City on Monday, July 11. She stole attention with her gold dress which consists of a linen bustier and cascading satin amber flamed skirt. The gorgeous gown is taken from Bottega Veneta's Fall 2011 collection.
For the make-up, the actress who plays Hermione Granger in the wizard movie series slicked back her short hair and applied elaborate gold leaf smoky eyes. The 21-year-old British beauty finished off her dazzling look with Giuseppe Zanotti chocolate brown platform peep toes and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.
"New York is such a fashion capital, I felt I could push the envelope a bit," she gushed about her choice of fashion. "With London I went a bit more classic but for today I wanted to do something edgier." She wore an Oscar de la Renta gown with embroidered bodice and full skirt when attending the "Deathly Hallows" premiere in London last week.
Emma was joined by her two co-stars/on-screen best friends Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint who looked dapper in a tux. Daniel confessed he's "sweating like pig in labor" with all the excitement, and Rupert said he would miss people screaming his name. The threesome flashed their best smiles to the photographers and fans when posing side by side at the event.
They also took time to stand on the small podium set up outside the Avery Fisher Hall to deliver their speech. Daniel talked about his strong bond with Emma and Rupert. "We have a sibling relationship," he stated. "No one knows what it's been like to go through this mad journey but us." He added, "The film is so much better than anything we've ever done, people will go nuts for it."
Playing Harry Potter since 2001's "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone", he was shown a picture of himself attending the very first "Harry Potter" premiere. He simply laughed it off, saying "I'm basically the same aren't I, I look the same, with just a slightly deeper voice." Emma, meanwhile, cringed when being shown her picture. She, nonetheless, quipped, "Look I had fun with it! I was wearing gold make-up that night too, so I'm sensing a theme."
The other cast of the movie coming to the event held at the Lincoln Center included Tom Felton who plays Draco Malfoy, Matthew Lewis who portrays Neville Longbottom, and Alan Rickman who tackles Professor Snape. All of the three men opted to suit up.
Celebrity guests at the event included "Sex and the City" actress Sarah Jessica Parker. She come to the screening with her actor husband Matthew Broderick and their little son James. She wore a navy and blossom watercolour satin chiffon gown by Oscar de la Renta. She matched it with a chic black blazer and a gold shoulder bag.

Emma Watson recently revealed that she used to have a "huge crush" on Tom Felton, and the actor playing Draco Malfoy in the "Harry Potter" series is offering his response to the confession. At a recent New York City junket for "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II", Tom admitted it was "very flattering."
When speaking to Access Hollywood, the 23-year-old actor revealed, "I heard it through the grapevine." Having said that they eventually became good friends, he added, "We can laugh about it now, but as testament to how long we've been doing this for, I'm pretty sure she was about 9, possibly 10... but yeah, [it was] very flattering."
Emma's confession of Tom being her first crush came in an interview for the August issue of Seventeen magazine. "For the first two movies, I had a huge crush on Tom Felton. He was my first crush," the actress famous for her portrayal of Hermione Granger said. "He totally knows. We talked about it - we still laugh about it. We are really good friends now, and that's cool."
While Emma had her eyes on him, Tom himself was crushing on Helena Bonham Carter. When Helena's name came out in a chat with E! News, the "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" actor said, "Coincidentally, that was my childhood crush." He went on to admit that he wrote the older actress a sweet note in a card "after the third or fourth film."
On Monday, July 11, both Tom and Emma attended the New York City premiere of "Deathly Hallows: Part II". Tom went formal in a black tux, while Emma looked stunning in a gold Bottega Veneta strapless dress that consists of a linen bustier and cascading satin amber flamed skirt.

For the Sunday outing, the "Never Say Never" singer wore a black T-shirt. His songstress girlfriend opted to don a tank top and set her hair in a ponytail. TMZ reported that the twosome didn't stay there too long. They departed before midnight.

Indeed, Kim's friend said that the former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant is "being super hands-on" when it comes to her dress.
