Nina Dobrev gets a bit sporty in a brand new PSA. The Elena Gilbert of "The Vampire Diaries" recently teamed up with PUMA's non-profit organization, Project Pink, for a campaign to support the fight against breast cancer, and is featured in the video embracing her soccer player side.
Being part of the program, the 22-year-old gushed, "I'm truly excited for the opportunity to work on this season's Project Pink initiative. I love that it truly empowers young women to get involved and make a difference." She added, "Plus, I've always been an athlete, so I jumped on the chance to stand alongside and in support of some of these amazing female soccer players."
"Check out my PSA for #projectpink ! Tweet #projectpink and @PUMA will donate $1 to support the fight against breast cancer," tweeted Nina on the launch of her PSA. The actress, who will star in "The Perks of Being a Wallflower", joined the stars of Women's Professional Soccer, such as Amy Rodriguez, Leslie Osborne and Karina LeBlanc, in supporting the cause.
Project Pink is geared towards raising awareness and money to help fight breast cancer. It encourages people of all age to vote for the breast cancer charitable organization they think could best utilize the funds PUMA raises in the program. Until 31 October, PUMA will also donate an addition $1, up to $25,000, for every tweet that uses the #projectpink hashtag.
