Separation apparently didn't hinder Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver from attending Sunday mass at the same church. According to TMZ, the former California governor and his estranged wife were spotted showing up at St. Monica's Catholic Church in California on Sunday, May 15. Still, it was noted that they arrived separately.
Later on the same day, 63-year-old Arnold got some family support amidst his infidelity rumors as his children spent time with him in Beverly Hills. The "Terminator" star was joined by youngest son Christopher and was seen chatting with daughter Christina and other son Patrick who were sitting in a 4x4.
Earlier in the week, Arnold and Maria announced their separation after 25 years of marriage. In a joint statement, the couple said, "This has been a time of great personal and professional transition for each of us. After a great deal of thought, reflection, discussion and prayer, we came to this decision together. At this time, we are living apart while we work on the future of our relationship."
Soon words came out that Arnold had an affair with former child actress Gigi Goyette for 10 years starting in 1975. Gigi told The Mirror, "I don't think I had anything to do with the break-up of his marriage. There were so many other women. About 13 have come out of the woodwork." Her mother additionally told Radar Online, "I didn't like him. He abuses women and he uses women. He was a philanderer."
Arnold himself has spoken out about his marriage woe when accepting an award at an Israeli Independence Day event recently. "I just talked to Maria an hour ago before I came here and we both were saying the same thing, we are amazed and extremely blessed to be surrounded by so many wonderful people," he told the crowd before adding. "We both love each other very much."
