Katy Perry gave a special treat to her devoted fans by unveiling a very first poster for her upcoming 3D movie, "Katy Perry: Part of Me". The fashionable pop sensation debuted the one-sheet via Twitter along with a message that read, "So happy to share with you the official #KP3D movie poster...from a hairbrush to a headliner...get ready, JULY 5TH!"
The colorful poster itself features the "E.T." hitmaker as an ordinary girl who sings on a hairbrush in front of a mirror, which reflects herself as a superstar who takes the stage while getting showered with confetti. It also has a tagline that reads, "Be Yourself and You Can Be Anything."
"Katy Perry: Part of Me" is designed as a concert-documentary movie hybrid, which aims to show the "Firework" songstress' life on and off the stage as well as gives a fan's perspective on the pop star. It is directed by Magical Elves, who produced Justin Bieber's successful concert documentary, "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never".
Perry once explained to MTV about her upcoming movie, "This film, you're going to see it from my best friend/buddy perspective, you're going to see exactly what I mean and feel and think about everything."
As for the 3D sequence, the 27-year-old star gushed, "Listen, I've [worked on] most of this film for a very long time and the word 'cheap' was not in the vocabulary. But, hello, it's 3D. You're going to get hit with a lot of s***."
The concert documentary movie is slated for a July 5 release in cinemas across the United States.
