Katy Perry will get to keep the house she shared with estranged husband Russell Brand
during their marriage as part of their divorce agreement. A quitclaim
deed filed by Brand in Los Angeles has been obtained by E!, and it
uncovered that the "Arthur" actor has surrendered all rights to their $6.5-million Hollywood Hills mansion.
The exes bought the 3-acre Mediterranean-style property in June 2011. It has seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms, and boasts a swimming pool, a pub, a huge home theater, a study and a guest house. Per the deed, the 36-year-old comedian gave his portion of the house's ownership to the 27-year-old singer for "no monetary consideration."
Perry and Brand got married in October 2010. After 14 months of marriage, Brand filed for divorce in December 2011. While the two reportedly did not sign a prenuptial agreement, the "Rock of Ages" star was said refusing to take money from the "Part of Me" singer.
In February 2012, the pair declared that they "have entered into a comprehensive written settlement of all issues, including, without limitation, with respect to the property to be confirmed or assigned to each party." Shortly thereafter, a Los Angeles judge finalized their divorce by signing off the judgment. The twosome will be legally single again in July.
