Johnny Depp's 'Rango' Premiere Brings Old Western Town to Los Angeles

Paramount Pictures is going full throttle in promoting their upcoming release "Rango". After holding a press conference on the weekend, the studio held a premiere for the movie at the Regency Village Theater in Los Angeles on Monday.

To bring the western soul of the film, the venue was decorated to make it look
like an old town in a deserted place, complete with the fake plants and building. Meanwhile, the attendees included voice cast Johnny Depp, Isla Fisher and Abigail Breslin, as well as director Gore Verbinski.

"Rango" follows the title character, a chameleon, which has an identity crisis and goes on an adventure to discover its true self. Accidentally killing a giant eagle which apparently threatened the villagers, Rango is honored as a sheriff in a place new for Rango and is now expected to come to rescue whenever a critical situation emerges.

A new sneak peek to the movie has been debuted via Yahoo! Movies. It sees Rango which leads his friends heading off at the desert with some musical accompaniment. The animated comedy will arrive in U.S. cinemas on March 4.
