Jennifer Grey is scheduled to undergo surgery this month after rupturing a disc in her back during her winning stint on reality TV competition "Dancing with the Stars". The "Dirty Dancing" star was crowned the queen of the dancefloor last Tuesday, November 23, but almost pulled out of the finale altogether after injuring her spine the night before, prompting a brief hospital visit.
Now Grey, 50, has decided to go under the knife for a minor operation to fix the injury by next week. She tells U.S. news programme Access Hollywood, "It's just going be like a little surgery where they take out the ruptured disc thing, and you know, it won't be a big deal. Compared to the other surgeries I had on my neck, my doctor says it won't be a big deal. I'll be home that night."
Grey was plagued with injuries throughout the competition after undergoing a string of spinal surgeries to repair torn ligaments in her neck stemming from a 1987 car accident.
