Concept Art for RIDDICK 3

Vin Diesel, who does it all for the fans, has released some concept art from Riddick 3.  Recently, Diesel pretended to hem and haw over whether or not he should take a pay cut for a film he’s supposedly been passionate it about for years, but it looks like the project is moving forward with shooting likely to begin this September.  As a birthday present for Diesel, Riddick director David Twohy sent along some concept art for the film and Diesel has now shared the concept art on his Facebook page.  The way the image is drawn, it looks like Riddick destroyed a planet and half a mountain with a knife.  He apparently also has a new pet.

It’s worth noting that Riddick 3 has seemed on the cusp of shooting numerous times.  In May of 2010, we reported that shooting would begin once Diesel wrapped filming on Fast Five.  Guess what didn’t happen.  Then in May of this year, Diesel said as early as this summer, but that’s not likely to happen.  Now September is looking like the start date, but we’ll see.  Here’s the plot synopsis we posed in May 2010, but the plot could have easily changed over the past 14 months:
Betrayed by his own kind and left for dead on a desolate planet, Riddick (Diesel) fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge. With his enemies right where he wants them, Riddick unleashes a vicious attack of vengeance before returning to his home planet of Furya to save it from destruction.

Exclusive: Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis Talk FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS, TED and IN TIME

Opening Friday is Friends with Benefits, which is Will Gluck’s follow up to Easy A. Not to be confused with Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher’s similarly themed No Strings Attached, FWB is a hip, sharply written and very R-rated romantic comedy about casual sex starring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis.
Recently, I sat down with Timberlake and Kunis to discuss the film. During our interview they told me about their thoughts on the viability of casual sex relationships, acting in the nude, some of their favorite songs going up, Kunis’s upcoming Seth McFarlane directed Ted and Timberlake’s Andrew Niccol directed In Time and more.

Starring Justin Timberlake, Amanda Seyfried, and Cillian Murphy, the film is set in a futuristic society in which aging can be halted. As a result, trading years in life becomes the legal tender of choice.
Hit the jump to check out the hi-res images of Timberlake and Seyfried running from an unseen pursuant. Olivia Wilde, Alex Pettyfer, Johnny Galecki, and Matt Bomer, also star in the film which is slated to hit theaters later this year on October 28th. Also, make sure you check back here on Thursday as Fox is expected to unveil some footage from In Time during their Hall H Comic-Con panel at 3:15pm PST.

Disney Taps G.I. JOE: THE RISE OF COBRA Scribes to Pen GARGOYLES Film

I know what you’re thinking. You’re wondering why anyone would want to take the very gothic and dark Disney cartoon series from the ‘90s to the silver screen. Yet, that is not what this project revolves around. Instead, screenwriters David Elliot and Paul Lovett (G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra) are the latest to take a crack at a live-action film that involves gargoyles coming to life (the film would be quite boring if they didn’t). The film is said to involve the statues watching over the cities where they are located, as architectural “guardian angels.” For more on the project, hit the jump.
For those worried that the scribes of the Joe film might not be who they want cracking the gargoyle egg, I should remind you that they also wrote the entertaining Four Brothers over at Paramount. Clearly, those two credits are very different in terms of tone, so I am curious to see what kind of approach they have to this property. As for who is behind this project, Variety reports that producer Lauren Shuler Donner (All X-Men related films at 20th Century Fox) and Disney executive LouAnne Brickhouse will oversee the pic for the studio. Not surprisingly, the studio is keen on making this more than just a one-off film, and has ideas of turning it into a merchandising opportunity that includes videogames, theme park rides, and a TV show.

How they keep the Gargoyles cartoon of the past separate from the one of the future is not clear at this point, especially with intentions to make it into a TV show. In addition, I should state clearly that I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the cartoon while growing up, so my initial skepticism is not based on the quality of the product. However, in that incarnation, it does not seem readily adaptable to a live-action film. Then again, I never thought we would see board games turned into live action films either.

Neal Moritz Attached to Produce Comic Adaptation THE RED STAR for Warner Bros.

Comics are a hot property these days, and while Universal may be weary of jumping into bed with unknown commodities and developing them into large-scale projects, Warner Bros. seems to have no such qualms. Proof of this dynamic can be found in the fact that Warner’s is currently eyeing an alternate reality comic book series titled The Red Star: a project currently in turnaround at Universal. Created by Christian Gossett in 1999, the comic series takes place in a world where the USSR still exists with elements of magic and futuristic technology intertwined.
For more on The Red Star, including those previously involved, hit the jump.
The series follows the rise of a mystical ruler known as Imbohl who uses magic and tyranny to rule those below him. Seeking immortality, he becomes increasingly cruel and an uprising aims to liberate those under his control. Director Timur Bekmambetov was being lined up to helm the film and, if you saw Wanted, you know he is a capable action director with a very distinct vision. While that is a potentially large loss, Warner Bros. will be pursuing the rights to hand off to producers Neal Moritz and Jason Netter. Moritz has been riding high lately with a string of successful action films, includingBattle: Los Angeles and Fast Five, and is currently developing the Total Recall remake at Columbia starring Colin Farrel.
As for Netter, he was behind 2007’s Wanted, which leaves the door open for Bekmambetov to come back to the project. As of now, Warner Bros. is in early negotiations and Heat Visionreports that creative decisions have yet to be made. While Matthew Sand (Ninja Assassin) was working on the script and had turned in quite a few drafts back in 2009, it is likely that Moritz and Netter will bring in their own writers to further develop the project. Expect to hear more developments on the project soon. Finally, a fun fact for any Star Wars fans is that, according to Amazon, Gossett was behind the creation of the double-bladed Lightsabre used by Darth Maul in The Phantom Menace.

It's a Girl for Ivanka Trump!

Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner are the proud parents of a baby girl!

"This morning [Jared] and I welcomed a beautiful and healthy little baby girl into the world," The Donald's daughter announced on Twitter. "We feel incredibly grateful and blessed. Thank you all for your support and well wishes!"

Just days before giving birth, the Celebrity Apprentice judge talked about  becoming a mom. "I'm beyond excited," she said. "We're both thrilled! We can't wait to be parents!"

Ivanka and Jared, who owns the New York Observer, got hitched in October 2009. Congrats to the happy family!

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are Wedding Crashers!

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez just happened to be strolling along the beach in Malibu this weekend when they heard a familiar tune off in the distance. The song? Justin's "One Less Lonely Girl." And where was it coming from? A fancy wedding at the Adamson House. And what did they do? Crash the wedding!
shes a wedding. (via TMZ)
Apparently Justin snuck up on some guests and then grabbed the mic. He annouced (via TMZ): "We just crashed it. We heard a party so we decided to just come. So let's party."

Justin and Selena reportedly stayed for just a few minutes -- long enough to pose with guests and the bride and groom, Rob and Jeanine McCool, who now have the coolest wedding story ever.

The Bieb tweeted about t
he festivities: "WEDDING CRASHERS last night! hahaha. too funny. crazy story."

Supermodel Stephanie Seymour Calls the Cops on Son Peter Brant Jr.

Stephanie Seymour must not have been feeling very affectionate towards her son Peter Brant Jr. on July 4, as Page Six reports the supermodel and former girlfriend to Axl Rose called the police after an argument with her oldest child.

A Greenwich, Connecticut police officer said that when law enforcement arrived at the scene, Seymour told them they'd fought because "the son was going to visit with the mom, and the mom canceled." Sounds major.

Last December, Seymour and her son gained Internet notoriety for their somewhat bizarre vacation photos. The two were snapped frolicking and smooching on the beaches of St. Bart's, drawing a fair amount of criticism from those who think it's gross for sons and moms to pretend to make out.

Brandt Jr., who recently told reporters that he plans to study art history this fall at Hunter College, wrote on his Facebook (which he later deleted), "Now about this whole Beach kiss scandal I would just like to say it has been taken completely out of context and I dont appreciate speculation on my personal relationship with my mother and any other uninhibited opinions."

Victoria Beckham Tweets Pictures of Her Little Girl

While Victoria Beckham and hubby David stayed carefully under the radar during her pregnancy, the happy mom is having no trouble showing off her newborn.

On Monday, @victoriabeckham posted a picture of Harper Seven (named after Harper Lee from To Kill The Mockingbirdand David's lucky jersey number.) "Mummy's little angel! X VB," she wrote alongside a picture of her girl nuzzling into her chest.

Harper, who was born July 11th, is the first girl for David and Victoria; they already have three boys together. David told OK! about the baby's female influence in the household: “Having a daughter is a whole new thing having pink in the house, lilac in the house, and you have to be a lot more delicate with girls than boys and I am not used to that."

Demi Lovato Snapped in Anti-Drug 'The Only Coke I Do Is Diet' Shirt

Demi Lovato may not enjoy all the attention she gets from the paparazzi, but she isn't above using all those camera flashes to get a point across.

On Sunday evening, Demi and a friend headed to The Grove in Los Angeles to catch a movie. The two were outfitted in matching tunics emblazoned with the words "THE ONLY COKE I DO IS DIET," sending a straight-edge message to Demi's many fans.

In November 2010, Lovato checked into a treatment facility for unspecified "physical and emotional issues." Later, Demi revealed that she struggled with cutting and an eating disorder, but would not divulge whether she had been dabbling in illegal narcotics.

Though Lovato looked dressed for a crowd, she still tweeted, "To this day paps stress me out. They just pop out of no where. #hollyweird," adding, "Walk into a movie, no one's there. Walk out, BOOM! Still getting used to this bizarre life. #justwannamakemusic #canigetaAMEN?! :P"

Perhaps Lovato would have more luck evading photographers if she were willing to do the movies in low-key garb. Just a thought.

Actor William Levy Denies Jennifer Lopez Hookup Rumors

Now that Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are parting ways after 7 years of marriage, there's plenty of speculation about what caused their split. But the sexiest rumor by far has to be the claim that Lopez had a steamy encounter with Cuban-American actor William Levy, her co-star in her music video for "I'm Into You."

The rumors are founded on little more than the fact that Levy is extremely hot and happened to be shirtless in Lopez's presence for a few days in Mexico in April. There's also the fact that Levy split from his actress wife Elizabeth Gutierrez a month after the shoot. But before William ever got cozy with J-Lo for the cameras, he and his wife faced infidelity rumors and more when a 17-year-old girl accused him of sexual battery in 2010.

A spokesperson for Levy denied reports that he had anything to do with Lopez and Anthony's split, saying, "The only relationship there was or is, is a professional relationship. That's all there's ever been."

Emma Watson Will Fall in Love with a 'Beast'

Emma Watson just can't seem to distance herself too far from Fantasy Land. The break-out Harry Potter star is set to co-headline yet another film adaptation of Beauty and the Beast
according to film producer Denise Di Novi, who mentioned the project during a press junket for Crazy, Stupid, Love.

The producer says Watson will be teaming up with Pan's Labyrinth director Guillermo del Toro, which means the end result will definitely look creepy. But before Emma ever hits the set on a Beauty and the Beastproject, she's still got two movies lined up for theatrical release.

First up is My Week with Marilyn where she'll play a supporting role alongside Michelle Williams who is playing Marilyn Monroe coming off her Oscar-nominated performance in Blue Valentine. Next Emma will have a central role in the film adaptation of Stephen Chbosky's popular young adult coming-of-age novel, The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

Lamar Odom 'Devastated' After Involvement in Fatal Car Crash

Lamar Odom likely didn't expect his day could grow sadder when he was in New York for a cousin's funeral last Thursday, and it in fact did. The car he was riding in on the way to a barbershop collided with a motorcycle, which then struck a teenage pedestrian, who suffered severe head injuries.

The 15-year-old underwent emergency surgery but passed away from the injuries on Monday. A "devastated" Lamar and Khloe have since taken to Twitter to send their condolences to the boy's family.

"Thank you for your support and prayers! My thoughts and prayers are with the young boys family," Lamar tweeted on Monday. Khloe wrote, "My heart/soul goes out 2every1 in pain from any suffering. Pray 4 all of the angels surrounding us constantly. May our spirits stay strong."

Most Twitter followers expressed deep sympathy to Lamar, though some indirectly blamed the Lakers star for the tragedy, leading Khloe to come to her hubby's defense: "Stop judging other people's lives that u know NOTHING about! My husband&I r in NY 4a funeral 4 his fam. Senseless violence is disgusting!!"
