Kim Kardashian 'Totally Fine' After Attacked by Jealous and Drunk Lady

Kim Kardashian convinced her fans that she's "totally fine" after she was entangled in a bar fight at NYC's Juliet Supper Club on Thursday, October 7. "I want to address this because everyone has been asking me if I'm ok after the bar fight last night. I'm totally fine, guys!" the 29-year-old reality TV star wrote on her blog.

Later on, Kim explained that she was at that time accompanied by sisters Kourtney Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian as well Kourtney's lover and baby father Scott Disick as they intended to have a fun night. However, the fun turned into a wild one.

"A drunk male fan came up to me and asked to take a picture, and I obliged, but his girlfriend, who was also drunk, got a little out of hand," Kim recalled. "Luckily I had Scott and Khloe there to protect me. None of us were drinking."

Kim believed that the drunk lady wanted to have a publicity stunt. "We just wanted a fun family night out, but when people see the cameras rolling, they try to get attention and I guess that's what happened when the drunk girl saw that we were filming KKTNY ('Kourtney and Kim Take New York'). I always take the high road, so we all left straight after and didn't feed into their drama," Kim claimed.

Though Kim only mentioned the girl trying to lay her hand on her, an eyewitness told Us Magazine that the drunk lady's boyfriend, who wished to have a picture with the star, also wanted more than that. The onlooker said, "He was groping her, trying to pull her close. Scott got really defensive of Kim when the guy groped her... things escalated and Scott punched him. Security came and broke it up."

‘Please call me Aishwarya’

Mumbai, Oct 8 – It seems that Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai is tired of people addressing her by her nickname “Ash” and has requested them to call her by her full name.

“When I joined the industry, people initially used to say they have difficulty in pronouncing my name, so they started calling me ‘Ash’. But now, it has been years and I guess, everyone can pronounce it properly,” Aishwarya told reporters.

“So I would appreciate, if you people address me by my name – Aishwarya,” she added.

The model-turned-actress walked the ramp for designer Manish Malhotra at the ongoing HDIL-India Couture Week and thanked her husband Abhishek for bringing the name issue in the forefront.

It is believed that Abhishek had recently requested some journalists to refer to her by her full name.

‘Ishqiya’ to be screened at Cairo film fest

 

New Delhi, Oct 8 – Acclaimed film ‘Ishqiya’ has been chosen to be screened at the 34th Cairo International Film Festival to be held Nov 30-Dec 9.

The dark drama, co-produced by Vishal Bharadwaj and Shemaroo Entertainment, features Vidya Balan, Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi in key roles.

Set in eastern Uttar Pradesh, it is a tale of romance between individuals caught in a web of crime, suspense, passion and deceit. The film received a warm response in India, and is now also reaching out to international audiences.

‘We are getting an overwhelming response from people worldwide. The film has already participated in around five international film festivals and is appreciated by all,’ Hiren Gada, director, Shemaroo Entertainment, said in a press statement.

‘Ishqiya’, debut directed by Abhishek Chaubey, has earlier been showcased at various film festivals, including the Munich Film Festival, Melbourne Film Festival as well as the Indian Film Festival of London.

Sony TV to host Amitabh Bachchan’s birthday bash

Mumbai, Oct 8 – Megastar Amitabh Bachchan had no major plans for his 68th birthday Oct 11, but Sony TV has now decided to throw a bash for the “Kaun Banega Crorepati 2010″ host at a hotel here.

It will be a double celebration as the fourth season of “Kaun Banega Crorepati” has been scheduled to go on air on Sony TV on Bachchan’s birthday. The bash will be held at the J.W. Marriot and will be attended by Amitabh’s family as well as some well-known personaities, including film stars and others.

“His family, actors John Abraham, Bipasha Basu and even cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni are expected to attend the party. Dhoni might fly down to Mumbai to wish him personally and be a part of the celebrations,” a source from the channel told IANS.

Amitabh’s son Abhishek and daughter-in-law Aishwarya are currently at the Pusan International Film Festival in South Korea, where their film “Raavan” is being showcased. But they will be back in time for Big B’s birthday.

Tila Tequila Loses Bid to Stop Her Sex Tape Release

U.S. reality TV star Tila Tequila has lost her legal fight to stop release of a sex tape she made with a boyfriend several years ago - a judge has rejected her request for an injunction. According to TMZ, the star, real name Tila Nguyen, filed for an injunction to stop the release of the explicit video, made during a holiday with a boyfriend more than seven years ago.

Her lawyer claimed the tape is an invasion of her privacy and a misappropriation of her image. But a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge rejected the argument on Thursday, October 7, noting "Tila exploits her sexuality".

The judge also ruled that there wasn't enough evidence to issue a restraining order against the star's ex, whose name has not been released. Tila rose to fame as a popular internet pin-up on MySpace, and has since become known as the bisexual star of U.S. reality dating show "A Shot At Love".

Killer Croc Could Be 'Batman 3' Villain

Rumor has it, Christopher Nolan's third "Batman" film will feature Killer Croc as the villain. The rumor surfaces after there was a report that the movie will be shot in New Orleans and comics writer Mark Millar tweeted, "Oh, wait. Con gossip: I know who the villain(s) are in Batman 3 and the big scene outside Gotham sounds awesome. Totally timely locale."

Slash Film then connects the dots, suggesting that Killer Croc is the one hinted by Millar because the deformed crocodile wrestler resides at the Louisiana swamps. Additionally, Miller claimed, "One of the villains is from my favourite childhood run on the character," which would fit Killer Croc since it first appeared in 1983, when the author was still a teen.

In the comic books, Killer Croc is described as having low intelligence but great strength, as well as crocodilian abilities, such as a keen sense of smell and the ability to hold his breath underwater for long periods of time.

He, however, is not the first character mentioned as possible villain for the untitled Batman 3 project. Previously, The Riddler has been widely rumored to appear in the upcoming movie with several actors, like Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Leonardo DiCaprio, thrown as the possible depicter.

Christopher Nolan will return to the helming position for the superhero action movie, with a script provided by his brother Jonathan Nolan and David S. Goyer. Christian Bale is expected to reprise his role as Bruce Wayne aka Batman when the movie starts shooting reportedly in April 2011 for a targeted July 20, 2012 U.S. release.

David Beckham's Salary Drops by $3 Million

Soccer ace David Beckham has taken a pay cut of almost $3 million after his company's profits plunged. New figures for Footwork Productions show that turnover has fallen from $23.2 million in 2005 to $17.1 million this year.

The Los Angeles Galaxy star paid himself a salary of $16.2 million in 2009 but due to the decline in profits, he received only $13.5 million this year, according to documents obtained by Britain's Daily Mirror. But, despite a drop in worth of $37.5 million, Beckham is still valued at $150 million.

Beckham's source of income in fact can come from unusual places. The soccer ace who is accused of an affair with a hooker, said he would donate the lawsuit of $7.5 million to a children's charity if he wins the case.
