Paris Hilton Paints and Cleans Hollywood for Community Service

Paris Hilton has been busy painting and cleaning the streets of Hollywood as part of her community service sentence. The socialite has been ordered to volunteer 200 hours of her time as part of a plea deal stemming from her drug arrest in August this year.

She was charged with felony drug possession after cops saw a small bag of cocaine fall out of her purse during a Las Vegas trip. Hilton attracted a swarm of paparazzi as she joined a group called the Hollywood Beautification Team on Friday, November 19 to paint over graffiti marks on buildings in the downtown area.

Beside the community service, Paris Hilton was also sentenced to one year probation, $2,000 fine and ordered to complete a drug abuse program following the cocaine possession case.

Jay-Z Feared He Would Be Locked Up for Life After Shooting Brother

Jay-Z has opened up for the first time about the day he shot his older brother, revealing he felt his life was "over" even though he was still just a boy. Jay-Z, real name Shawn Corey Carter, grew up in a tough housing project in Brooklyn, New York and was just 12 when he pulled the trigger on his sibling Eric.

The rapper was furious after discovering his brother, who was addicted to crack cocaine at the time, had stolen his ring so he found a gun and decided to take revenge. But he admits he was "terrified" after the shooting and feared he would be locked up for life.

He tells Britain's Guardian Weekend magazine, "I went to someone's crib, someone's house, and got (a gun). Guns were everywhere. You didn't have to go far to get one. Just everywhere... I thought my life was over (after the shooting). I thought I'd go to jail for ever. It was terrible. I was a boy, a child. I was terrified."

Eric, who is now clean, didn't press charges and offered Carter an apology from his hospital bed after the shooting.

Photo-Shopped Breast Reduction Is Katy Perry's Demand

Katy Perry has broken her silence about her Photo-shopped breast reduction, revealing she demanded marketing bosses at VH1 tone down the poster for her upcoming Divas Salute The Troops U.S. TV special.

Reports suggested Perry's aides asked for her boobs to be photo-shopped for the patriotic poster, but Perry took to Twitter to reveal the truth.

She wrote, "I was the one who asked VH1 to tone down my DIGITALIZED image on the poster, particularly the size of my chest... I don't have handlers... but someone @VH1 offices is a gossipmonger & thought they could use a little extra press planting the story."

Kristen Stewart: I Hate Interview Process

Again, Kristen Stewart has spoken about how much she doesn't like press. The Bella Swan of "Twilight" saga personally believes that her job is only to act not to talk to the media, saying as quoted by Hollyscoop, "I hate the interview process."

"I do my work, same as you, why do I have to talk about it? I just want to be an actor. You think you're going to put sound bites in my mouth," Kristen went on. Though Kristen occasionally has an interview training session, it seemingly doesn't make the whole things easier for her. "I had an interview training session and was I was, 'F*** you. You think you're going to put soundbites in my mouth?' " so she said.

Kristen has been attached to a reputation for looking particularly uncomfortable in public. Back in May, the "On the Road" actress was even criticized for comparing the swarm of paparazzi around her to a rape. She, at that time, said, "It's so... The photos are so.. I feel like I'm looking at someone being raped. A lot of the time I can't handle it. It's f**ked. I never expected that this would be my life." Kristen, however, has since issued an apology.

Splitting From Model Beau, Kate Winslet 'Needs Space to Be on Her Own'

It turned out that Kate Winslet's romance with model beau Louis Dowler doesn't last long. According to Daily Mail, Kate and Louis, who began dating shortly after the "Titanic" star split from director husband Sam Mendes earlier this year, have gone their separate ways.

A source told the site that "Louis was just the tonic Kate needed after her painful split from Sam and they had a wonderful time." The source added, "However, they have realized their relationship isn't working and Kate needs space to be on her own."

Still, the source claimed Kate "is very grateful to Louis for helping her pick her life back up after her marriage ended and they had a lot of fun together." Although the "Revolutionary Road" actress allegedly has introduced Louis to her parents and hoped the romance would last, "she felt it had come to an end and wants to concentrate on her career and children."

Kate and Louis recently made their red carpet debut at the 58th annual San Sebastian International Film Festival in Spain. The then-couple met through a mutual friend at a party soon after the "All the King's Men" beauty and Sam announced their separation on March 15 through London-based Schillings law firm.

Katy Perry and Russell Brand Refuse to Sell Their Wedding Photos to Media

Newlyweds Katy Perry and Russell Brand rejected a string of lucrative offers to sell their wedding photos to the press, because they feared it would only lead to further media intrusion into their lives. The "I Kissed a Girl" hitmaker wed the outlandish Brit in a lavish ceremony in India last month and hired burly security guards to keep the paparazzi out.

Brand reveals they were inundated with picture deals from top magazines, but ultimately decided against sharing one of their most intimate moments with the world. The comedian tells U.S. newsman Larry King, "They offered us money to sell the photos, but once you've sold the photos to the wedding, how can you go, 'Oh, give us privacy!' We kept them private and normal."

Katy Perry recently performed "Firework" at the recent American Music Awards.

‘Break Ke Baad’ would resonate with young Indians: Imran Khan

It may sound like yet another romantic comedy from Bollywood, but young Indians at home and abroad would find in ‘Break Ke Baad’ a story that resonates with them, says lead star Imran Khan.
‘What I like is, it’s a young urban story, but at its heart it has a classical romantic element to it,’ Imran, who was in New York to promote the film set for release in the US Nov 24, told IANS over the phone.
One of the rare Bollywood films that opens in the US before India because of Thanksgiving holiday here, ‘it’s about a couple that breaks up, what happens when they are separated and how they are going to grow,’ said the 27-year-old.
‘Both have got to start to figure out what to do in life and who they want to be in life,’ said Imran, who was born in Wisconsin, US, to a Bengali-Indian American father and a sister of Bollywood star Aamir Khan.
It was ‘very enjoyable’ working with a very young team right from director Danish Aslam to co-star Deepika Padukone, and he ‘became a very close friend’ with Danish, Deepika, producer Kunal Kohli and all others involved in the making of the film.
‘So I will always really cherish the memories of making this film.’
‘Deepika was a very accommodating and a very supportive co-star,’ Imran said. ‘I really enjoy working with her because as an actor I believe that whoever is acting with me, the better they are, the better my performance becomes. I think her performance made my performance much better.’
But working with some of the senior Bollywood actors like Navin Nischol and Sharmila Tagore ‘was honestly a little intimidating’, Imran said. ‘But they were both very sweet and very gentle and very supportive of co-stars.’
‘So, after a first couple of hours, you just see them as actors and forget the stars that they are and feel I can also act with them,’ he said. ‘But to me it takes a little time to get over that initial nervousness.’
The film will be released in India Friday.
Imran said he was also very impressed by Danish. ‘This is Danish’s first film as a director, but I think he is an extremely calm and confident director.’
‘The thing is when you are working on a set, 15 things can go wrong every day. But no matter what happened, what the situation was, he always took it in his stride.’
Imran said he fully supported Danish’s rule of not allowing anyone to use a cell phone on the sets as films are these days shot in sync sound, which means the sound that’s recorded on the sets is used in the film.
If you have cell phones ringing it’s also very distracting for an actor,’ he said. ‘All of my films, be it ‘I Hate Love Stories’, ‘Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na’, ‘Break Ke Baad’, even my forthcoming films, they are all shot with sync sound; so it’s becoming standard practice.’
One day Imran would like to get behind the camera too as a director.
‘Certainly it’s something I am very interested in and would like to do in life,’ though he has no such plans in the near future. ‘Right now as an actor I am getting to do some good work with people whom I like.’
Does he have a dream film in mind? ‘No, that would really depend on when I decide to make a film, what kind of story I have in mind.’

Open to Deepika Padukone gifting me condoms: Ranbir Kapoor

Bollywood hearthrob Ranbir Kapoor says he’s quite open to the idea of former girlfriend Deepika Padukone gifting him a pack of condoms and wishes her all the best for her next film ‘Break Ke Baad’.
Deepika had wished to gift him a pack of condoms while talking to filmmaker Karan Johar on his chat show ‘Koffee with Karan’. And Ranbir isn’t flustered by Deepika’s remark and says condoms are one of the most useful gifts as people should be made aware of the importance of safe sex.
‘I think she said a good thing. Our country should be aware of safe sex and condom is a means to that. And thank you for that,’ Ranbir said when queried by reporters on the red carpet of the Teacher’s Achievement Awards held here late Saturday.
Ranbir, who got an award in the field of entertainment, said he wished the actress all the best for her film ‘Break Ke Baad’, which also stars Imran Khan.
‘Best of luck ‘Break-Ke Baad’. It seems really nice…you and Imran are a great couple. Looking forward to see the film,’ he said.
The actor maintains that they share a cordial relationship even after their break-up.
‘I have always maintained that. Whenever we meet each other, we are very cordial…I wish her and she wishes me,’ he said.
Ranbir, in just three years, has reached an enviable position in Bollywood, garnering both critical and commercial success for his films like ‘Wake Up Sid’, ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’, ‘Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year’, ‘Rajneeti’ and ‘Anjaana Anjaani’. He says he feels overwhelmed when his work, however little it is now, is celebrated.
On receiving the Teacher’s Achievement Award, he said: ‘I really feel overwhelmed when they celebrate my work as I am fairly new and I don’t have that much of body of work. It feels great, it feels awesome…acknowledges whatever I have done,’ Ranbir said.

'Harry Potter' to Cast Massive Box Office Spell!

A boy wizard is set to cast a box office spell this weekend as ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1’ prepares to unleash the magic.

The beginning of the end is at hand as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 kicks off the two part denouement of the most successful movie franchise of all-time.  As if there is any doubt as to what will be the No. 1 film this weekend, Warner Bros.’ latest release looks to conjure opening weekend numbers approaching $120 million and possibly higher and in the process set a new ‘Potter’ record.  2005’s Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is the only film in the series thus far to open in excess of $100 million having earned $102.7 million in its first three days back in 2005.  A true “event” film in every sense of the word, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1 will draw massive crowds to the multi-plex as this decade-long, epic adventure draws to close.  A great marketing campaign, off-the-chart audience awareness, midnight showings and a record number of IMAX screens, ensure that this weekend will see 'Potter Mania' hit a fever pitch.

Check out our exclusive 'Harry Potter' themed comic strip from Francesco Marciuliano.  Francesco writes the internationally-syndicated comic strip “Sally Forth” and the webcomic “Medium Large.” He was the head writer for the PBS series “SeeMore’s Playhouse,” for which one of his episodes won two 2007 Daytime Emmys. He currently writes for the Onion News Network.

Paramount’s release of the Dreamworks’ animated Megamind should take the second spot with around $18 million and a third weekend drop in the mid-30 percent range.  Timing is everything and the film enjoyed two solid weeks at the top of the charts in a Potter-less marketplace and a voracious family audience hungry for kid appropriate movie-going fun.  As its crosses the $100 million mark this weekend, Megamind holds the distinction of being the first blockbuster of the 2010 holiday movie season.

In third with around $12 million expect last weekend’s second place finisher Unstoppable from Twentieth Century Fox.  Denzel Washington and Tony Scott have re-teamed for the fifth time in this runaway train action film that uses the director’s signature visual style to full effect.  The star power of Washington and his draw for older movie-goers means that this should have a modest sub-50 percent second weekend drop and bring the film to around $40 million by Sunday night.

Fourth place should belong to the Todd Phillips comedy Due Date which incidentally has been the No. 1 film in the international marketplace for the past two weeks.  A likely drop in the mid-50% range will generate third weekend revenues in the sub $10 million range with domestic revenues nearing the $70 million mark.  Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis as mismatched travel companions on a road trip from hell have made this R-rated comedy a solid holiday season hit.

Morning Glory from Paramount should scoop up fifth place with a second weekend gross of around $5 million and a post-weekend total nearing $20 million.  The Harrison Ford, Rachel McAdams romantic comedy debuted on a Wednesday and then took the fifth spot last weekend with $9.2 million and a first five day total of $11.8 million.

Comparisons to last year’s comparable weekend will be very interesting considering that Twilight: New Moon posted the single biggest opening day gross in history with $72.7 million and went on to post the third biggest opening weekend of all-time with a whopping $142.8 million!

With the release of Harry Potter 7, the holiday movie season will hit its stride and with just 7 weekends remaining in the box office year of 2010 we aim toward the possibility of the first $11 billion box office year.

'Harry Potter' Strong at Friday Box Office!

After posting the third biggest midnight gross of $24 million, Warner Bros. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1 went on to earn a magical $61,150,000 in its first full day of release in 4,125 theatres.  This is the fifth biggest single-day gross in box office history.

With the biggest weekend debut of any 'Potter' movie now assured (2005's Goblet of Fire set previous high of $102.3M), the first part of the final chapter in the decade long franchise is already a certified box office hit.  With a single-day gross that many films would be hard-pressed to earn in a single weekend, 'Harry Potter' continues to weave his spell over an adoring fan base.

Can Katrina Kaif Be Called "The Indian Shakira"?

Katrina Kaif is the talk of the nation due to her overtly sexy style and dance in her forth coming Farah Khan flick Tees Maar Khan. The fact that Kat has shed a lot of kilos for the movie is evident from the promos of the flick. Her very sexy bod with her oomph factor in the movie is certainly making this one of the most awaited films of this year.
However, the real bonanza is Kat’s dance moves in the song ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’, where she has reportedly gone for six different make over’s and moves to match. This Bollywood damsel has also gyrated in Shakira style and reportedly her moves are as good if not better than the international singer performer star.
Katrina has indeed proved with every film that she is one of the most beautiful actresses in tinsel town and is trying her level best to reach up to the standards of some of the lead actresses in her performances also. Her dancing skills have always looked good on screen but this one with her international looks and great hip shaking techniques, it is being said that she truly is the Indian Shakira if there ever was one.
However to prove the point we just have to wait for the flick to release and see whether Kat does deserve to be tagged as the Indian Shakira.
