'90210' and 'Gossip Girl' October 11 Previews

Next week on "90210", a pregnant Jen seeks to hire a new assistant and Debbie applies for the job. Debbie gets the position and her first task is to deliver Jen to hospital for labor. Meanwhile, Dixon fears for his life and pushes Ivy away, leading her straight into the arms of Oscar.

Silver, Naomi and Adrianna craft a plan to seduce Mr. Cannon and prove that he raped Naomi, but they underestimate his ability to control the situation. Teddy and Ian are forced to do manual labor as punishment for fighting. "Catch Me If You Cannon" airs October 11 at 8/7c.

Following "90210" in the next hour, "Gossip Girl" begins with "Goodbye, Columbia" where a rumor is spread via texts. An anonymous Gossip Girl blast starts a very damaging rumor about one of Columbia's new students, Serena.

On her path to greatness, Blair decides to take a class with a powerful businesswoman, Martha, who is guest-lecturing at Columbia, but a mysterious fellow student thwarts her plans to secure the prized position as Martha's assistant.

Daniel Radcliffe Offers Emotional Support for Bullied Kids

"Harry Potter" star Daniel Radcliffe is urging teenagers to offer emotional support to gay peers who become the victims of homophobic bullies following the recent suicides of tormented youths in America. The actor is a long-standing supporter of the Trevor Project, a non-profit group dedicated to crisis support and suicide prevention for youths questioning sexuality issues.

He filmed a public service announcement (PSA) earlier this year urging youths to "be proud" of who they are - and he's reiterating his stance in the wake of a string of apparent suicides linked to sexuality. The most recent, the death of 18-year-old Tyler Clementi last week, sparked outrage after it was revealed his college roommate allegedly posted footage of him having sex with another man online.

And the actor is calling for the needless deaths to stop. Radcliffe says, "Learning about the suicide deaths of Tyler Clementi, Seth Walsh, Asher Walker, Billy Lucas and Justin Aaberg has been heartbreaking for me. These young people were bullied and tormented by people that should have been their friends."

"We have a responsibility to be better to each other, and accept each others' differences regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, ability, or religion and stand up for someone when they're bullied. When a friend is feeling depressed or says they're thinking of killing themselves, we must take it seriously and get them help."

´Enthiran/Endhiran´ Is Creating Box-Office History!

'Enthiran/Endhiran', the original Tamil version of 'Robot' (dubbed), is creating magic in Tamilnadu. Tickets have been priced at Rs. 1,500 in the top class in some multiplexes down South. The surprising part is that in spite of such high admission rates, tickets are selling like hot cakes. In fact, there are a number of multiplexes and cinemas in Madras and other cities of the South, where all the shows for first 10 days are full in advance!

'Enthiran/Endhiran' is well on its way to becoming the biggest Tamil grosser ever. Although the total investment in the film and its Telugu and Hindi dubbed versions – both titled ‘Robot’ – is Rs. 160 crore, the costliest Indian film would recover the investment as the share of the Tamil version alone from all-India is expected to be in the region of Rs. 100 crore plus!

'The Social Network' Tops Box Office, 'Let Me In' Not Scary Enough

Facebook has proven to be a moneymaker and the movie is no different. Picking up the story of the site creation by Mark Zuckerberg and his friends, "The Social Network" wins the attention of moviegoers, making it nab the first place at North American Box Office in its first week with an estimated $23 million cume.

"It's playing very broadly, and this is a terrific start," Sony distribution president Rory Bruer says about the Jesse Eisenberg-starring film which has been hailed by movie critics. "For an adult drama, this is a terrific opening," he further gushes. "It's not going to open like a romantic comedy or an action adventure, but it's going to stay around longer."

Other newcomers do not manage to reach high positions like "Social Network" does. "Let Me In", which has another vampire-themed story, debuts at the eighth with an estimated $5.3 million. "Case 39", which had been shelved for a long time before it was finally released in early October, is on the seventh with a slightly bigger revenue of $5.4 million.

"Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole" still secures the runner-up title with an additional $10.8 million revenue. Last week's winner "Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps" drops to the third with an estimated $10.1 million gross (down 46.9%).

"The Town" and "Easy A" drop one position each. The crime drama, which is directed by Ben Affleck, lands on the fourth with an approximately $10 million haul, followed by the teen comedy which adds an estimated $7 million to its domestic gross.

Sony Reportedly Chooses Emma Stone to Be Mary Jane in 'Spider-Man' Reboot

Emma Stone has reportedly nabbed a female lead role in next "Spider-Man" movie. According to Deadline Hollywood, Sony Pictures Entertainment will "imminently offer" the role of Mary Jane Watson to the 21-year-old beauty.

If Emma indeed takes this job, it will further raise her name after starring in "Zombieland" and "Easy A". Her name was mentioned among the contenders of the depicter of Spider-Man's love interest along with Dianna Agron, Mia Wasikowska, Georgina Haig and Dominique McElligott.

Though Sony is said to have dropped their choice to Emma to portray Mary Jane, the other actresses still have a chance to land a role in the untitled Spider-Man reboot. Deadline reports that Dianna, Mia, Georgina and Dominique are now possible depicter of another Spider-Man's girl, Gwen Stacy.

The site further notes that Gwen is "a plum part for the first installment of the 3-D Marc Webb-directed reboot of 'Spider-Man', because she is the first love interest of the high school-aged Peter Parker". Meanwhile, Mary Jane becomes "more pivotal" in the later installments of the "Spider-Man" saga.

Andrew Garfield has been tapped to star as Peter Parker aka Spider-Man in the upcoming "Spider-Man" film. This action superhero film is planned to begin production in December and to hit theaters in the U.S. on July 3, 2012.

Steve Austin to Return to 'Expendables' Sequel

As Sylvester Stallone is planning another "The Expendables" film, there are talks about who will appear in the sequel. Met at the junket for his upcoming film "Red", Bruce Willis who starred in the first film says that Steve Austin, whose character was shot in the movie, will return to the follow-up.

"I talked to Sly and he's going for all the marbles this time, and he's going to get everybody in this time," he tells Coming Soon. "Even Stone Cold Steve Austin who took two bullets in the last film, he's coming back, too. Hopefully, they'll start shooting it while we're young enough to survive."

Stallone himself has previously teased that he wants Willis to be a super villain in the next film. Still, he stated that he wants to introduce new characters in the second "Expendables", saying "I believe this group has to continue to evolve; it just can't become the same people."

Austin was portraying one of the bad guys in "The Expendables", fighting against Stallone's character and his team. He did not make it until the end of the film as he was shot in the process of trying to stop the good guys.

"The Expendables" itself follows a group of mercenaries who is hired to infiltrate a South American country and overthrow its ruthless dictator. Starring other big action stars like Jason Statham, Jet Li, Terry Crews and Randy Couture, the action comedy has raked in $248.5 million worldwide as of press time.

Lady GaGa Shows Assets Onstage When Performing With Yoko Ono

Singapore Grand Prix Welcome For Deepika And Family By Vijay Mallya!

Deepika Padukone is having a blast while holidaying with her family in South East Asia. She was is recently spotted at Singapore Grand Prix track where Vijay Mallya gave a warm welcome to Deepika and her family.

Siddharth was already camping there with his dad when Deepika arrived on September 26. “Deepika bonded very well with the Mallya family,” says a source.

Despite the attempts to keep Siddharth’s activities a top secret, the scion tweeted about his activities on Twitter. “Just arrived in Singapore for the GP... come on Force India!!” he tweeted on arriving in Singapore.

Deepika recently released a statement confirming her presence at the F1 event. “In Singapore, for some much needed rest and relaxation, Deepika was a personal guest of Dr. Mallya as the Force India F1 team zoomed across the track,” says a statement on behalf of the actress.

Deepika had taken a break after shooting non-stop for her upcoming film. She was joined there by her mom and her sister, sources say.

“Taking a break after having completed shooting for her upcoming movie, Deepika was enjoying the sights of Singapore with her family,” the statement adds.

“It was an absolute thrill seeing the Singapore Grand Prix. Being a night race, it was a completely different experience from the one I had at the British Grand Prix, which I had attended. Special thanks to Dr Mallya for inviting me for the race,” Deepika added.

Cine stars gave it a miss but the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games had its Bollywood moment with AR Rahman's 'Chaiya Chaiya' enthralling the audience during the 'Great Indian journey' segment of the event here tonight.

The journey, a programme organised by the Indian Railways, started with a makeshift train chugging across the stadium with dancers and people from all walk of life thronging the roof, singing and celebrating the true spirit of the Games.

As the 'Dil se' song played at the background, audience burst into a loud cheer. With the real stars missing, giant cutouts of Bollywood superstars such as Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan were put up for display at the train.

'Dholi Taro', a song from 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam', could also be heard at the background.

Alicia Keys Raises $2.4 Million for Children's Charity

Alicia Keys and her superstar pals Jay-Z, Beyonce Knowles, Whitney Houston and Usher have helped to raise a massive $2.4 million for the R&B singer's children's charity. The "No One" star staged the seventh annual Keep A Child Alive Black Ball in New York on Thursday night, September 30 to generate funds for kids and families in Africa and India affected by HIV and AIDS.

A heavily pregnant Keys, a co-founder of Keep A Child Alive, performed at the event, teaming up for a duet with Sade and with Jay-Z for a rendition of their smash hit "Empire State of Mind", while singer/songwriter Janelle Monae also took to the stage.

Other guests at the high-profile gala included Hollywood actress Uma Thurman and Jennifer Hudson. Keys, who was accompanied at the event by her new husband Swizz Beatz, is overjoyed by the success of the fundraiser and she's determined to teach her unborn child all about the importance of giving.

She tells People, "The baby is going to see everything we do and I think that we are giving individuals. (Even) something small like reaching out to one person in the world can change that one person. That's a big deal. I plan to show that (to my child)."

Prior to Thursday's event, the Black Ball had generated over $10 million for Keep A Child Alive since its inception in 2004.

It turned out that Justin Bieber is nothing but a "dork" for Selena Gomez. The "Wizards of Waverly Place" star used the term to describe fellow teen star Justin during an interview with BBC's "The 5:19 Show" on Friday, October 1.

"He's a dork," Selena stated with a laugh as hosts AJ Odudu and Tom Deacon urged her with a question about their relationship. "He really is. Everytime we hang out I love it because the Bieber comes off... You see that he's just a 16-year-old kid who's really enjoying what he does."

Though she and Justin, who is two years younger than her, have been friends for quite some time, Selena again added without hesitation, "He's just not cool. I get it - when he has his swag on, he's definitely cool, he's got it going on - but when he doesn't, he's just funny."

Later, when AJ and Tom asked about whether or not she and Justin have love in the air, Selena simply said, "He's like my little brother." And this wasn't the first time Selena used the "little brother" term to describe Justin. She called Justin that way when making an appearance on "Lopez Tonight" back in July and again on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" in September.

Rowling's series of books have been brought to life on the big screen and even inspired its very own theme park in Orlando, Florida - but the Brit reveals there was one big proposal she rejected, even though it came from the King of Pop himself.

In a candid new interview with talk show queen Oprah Winfrey, which aired in the U.S. on Friday, October 1, she says, "Michael Jackson wanted to do a musical."

"I said no to a lot of things. For me, I love the films, I love the books, and there's elements that I love around it... like the theme park. But I only wanted to do it because I knew it would be incredible."
